Bro Anthony P M Jaiah, founded the Heavenly Ambassadors Sierra Leone (HASL) organization during the cause of the One Year Bible Reading plan established by the Hope Baptist Church Bible Readers Club; that is every member of the BRC should complete the whole Bible in space of a year with a guided manual for the process.
The Bible Readers Club was established in the year 2010 three years after Bro Anthony join the Church. The initative to complete the Bible in one year was the desire of Rev. Mohamed P Kamara to see his members have a deeper understanding of God's Word and to be able to stand, correct the errors and teach others.
In this journey of new discoveries, starting with Genesis to Revelation, Anthony; stumble to say in better words was caught up with Philippians where he later sens a strong call on the third chapter of Philippians the 20 verse, which address the issues of citizenship. He was so curious to know why! At the end of the one year excersie, there was a recall to Philippians 3:20 during his morning devotion and finally he was able to understand the responsibilities he has to establish an organization which will address the issues he has bump into.
The name Heavenly Ambassadors was clearly reveal to him from the scripture Philippians 3:20 "But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior." In the later, Sierra Leone was included to the name Heavenly Ambassadors because the founder resides in Sierra Leone as a nation of his birth. The motto "Our Country Is In Heaven" was also derive from Philippians 3 verse 20.
With this passion burning in his heart as he continue in the faith, he later in the year 2011 reveal this call to Brother Francis David Sesay, Francis Lardon Sesay, Andrew Sesay, Daniel Dominic Sesay, Sister Susan Blessing Conteh and Cheryl A Thomas of the Hope Baptist Church Tengbeh Town Freetown Sierra Leone West Africa. After a detail talk with the above mention persons, they were happy and willing to be part in establishing the Heavenly Ambassadors Sierra Leone a Christian Youth organization.
The Mission and Vision of the organization derive from Matthew 28 verse 19. The Mission: Is to contribute in the making of Disciples. The Vision,: Proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ to people in every country. The aim was to build a community where all people especially the Youths are encouraged in developing their fullest potential in Spirit, Mind and Body.
The organization held it first meeting with Brother Chike Ezirion of the Living Seed Team Sierra Leone a Discipleship Network on 30th July to 27th August 2012 at the Hope Baptist Church Tengbeh Town Freetown Sierra Leone from 10:00AM to 1:00PM every Monday dealing with a material title "The New Beginning in Christ."
At the end of 2012, the Heavenly Ambassadors Sierra Leone started to engage Youths in other Churches to join in this great call and the organization promote it first Mission Trip to Buya Romende Chiefdom, Port Loko District a District dominated by Muslims. The main aim of this Trip was to evangelize to the people of Buya Romende Chiefdom.
Mid March 2013, the need to devote on Missions arrived and other members where involved in the drive: Brother Jeremiah Tamba Mondeh, Samuel Sieh Mansaray, Victor Mansaray and Musa Mansaray at a meeting held at the founder residence on Sunday 18th March 2013 at 4:00PM. During this meeting the mission, vision, aim, objectives, and focus of the organization was in detail explained by Bro Anthony the founder. The drive of the organization was appealing to the newly involved members and they freely and willing gave their consent.
The organization took it second Mission trip to Buya Romende Chiefdom in April 2013 and later move to Tonkor Limba in the Kambia District December 23rd - 27th 2013 for it third mission trip. The Evangelist Philip Kaibia Kamara hosts the organization during the cause of the mission in Tonkor Limba.
Ambassador Musa left ahead of the delegation with the materials and food items needed to complete the task during the cause of the week mission in Tonkor Limba on Friday 21st December 2013. The organization held it first seminar and football match for young people in Tonkor Limba on the 24 December 2013. On the 25th December 2013 all Heavenly Ambassadors missionaries where posted in all the villages in Tonkor Limba to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. With a follow up evangelism on the 26th December 2013. On the 27th December 2013 the delegation was lead to Freetown by the organization President.
On the 12th January 2014 the organization has it 1st retreat at the Golf Field Lumbly Beach, the retreat focus on the activity plan and the development of the organization legal document "the constitution",
In promoting the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the organization reach hospitals in January to March 2014, and the following schools to preach during their devotion: Grace School of Science every Tuesday, Miracle International High School every Monday and Thursday and M'bayoo Academy every Tuesday in the second quarter of the organization, calendar April to June 2014.
Mid July 2014, Sierra Leone confirm it first Ebola case, which puts to hold the organization school outreach program.
The organization sent it membership interest letter to the Evangelical Fellowship of Sierra Leone (EFSL) on the 17th February 2015, which was successful with an interview conduct by EFSL Board for HASL President (Ambassador Anthony P M Jaiah) and General Secretary (Ambassador Andrew Sesay) at EFSL headquarter 35 Circular Road Freetown Sierra Leone. Moreover, a letter of acceptance was address to the President of Heavenly Ambassadors Sierra Leone on the 3rd of October 2016.
In September 2015 and 2016, the organization has it's forth and fifth mission trip in Sumbuya Village Lungi, Kaffu Bullum Chiefdom Port Loko District for a week. Mr. Thomas Bangura member of the Heavenly Ambassadors Sierra Leone Advisory Board hosts the team and the whole village was evangelize, on Sunday the delegation celebrates thanksgiving service with the youths of Jesus is the Answer Ministry, and then depart for Freetown.
