Medical Association of Atlanta The MAA is a multi-specialty association of Atlanta physicians and a component medical society of the Medical Association of Georgia.

The Medical Association of Atlanta (MAA) is a non-profit association founded in 1854 dedicated to the advancement of organized medicine in the Atlanta, GA area. MAA membership is made up of the most actively-involved participants in organized medicine, with members making the changes necessary to support their individual communities as well as Atlanta's vibrant body of organized medicine at large.

MAA members have united their individual voices and efforts into one cohesive body of progress, representing the new face of organized medicine in areas of legislation, community service, and individual patient care.

Congratulations to Justin Baker, one of the first members of the MAA Leadership Program, who matched at Morehouse for residency as a member of the Pediatrics class of 2029.

Justin noted, “The MAA has given me the unique opportunity to learn more about how my role as a physician extends beyond diagnosing and treatment, and as I enter into residency, I can apply the lessons I have learned to further advocate for myself and my patients along with continuing to learn more from the wonderful physicians here in Atlanta over at least the next 3 years.”
