Kinemo Wearable Human-Computer Interface

04/22/2026

Last month at the Abilities Expo, we met so many incredible people and had the opportunity to let them try Kinemo firsthand, revealing a wide range of unique mobility needs that pushed us to think on our feet and adapt the system in real time.

Every setup was different, but once our device was configured and ready to go, we saw incredible reactions from people accessing computers and gaming in ways that felt entirely new and previously impossible. By using any body motion from head to toe, attendees were able to control a computer in a way that was unique to them.

With Kinemo Connect, users with physical mobility limitations can use any part of the body as a controller to access computers, smartphones, and tablets. Our motion sensors can detect the slightest visible motion for use as a digital input.

We’re excited to announce the 1st place Kinemo Connect winner from our Kinemo Challenge at ATIA 2026!

Participants put their skills to the test by playing video games completely hands‑free and competing for the highest score. Ryan Keller, Assistive Technology Specialist at the Bethlehem Central School District in Delmar, NY earned the highest score and took home a Kinemo Connect! Here’s what Ryan shared about his experience with Kinemo:

“I was initially skeptical watching the demo because it looked so smooth, but once I had the chance to try Kinemo Connect myself, I was amazed at how intuitive and accurate it was. As an Assistive Technology specialist, it’s exciting to finally see a solution that can support many of our students’ needs. Playing a fast-paced game using head movement to aim and a cheek twitch to click was genuinely eye-opening - the controls felt natural, responsive, and precise even after only a short time. Kinemo Connect offers a unique and empowering approach to accessible gaming, and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a high-performance adaptive controller.”

Congratulations to Ryan and thank you to everyone who participated!

We’re happy to announce the winner of our first-ever Kinemo Challenge that took place at ATIA 2026!

Participants put their skills to the test by playing video games completely hands‑free and competing for the highest score. Amanda Summers, OTR/L, ATP from the Kennedy Krieger Institute, earned the second‑highest score and took home a Kinemo One! Here’s what she had to say about her experience with Kinemo:

“I loved how simple the setup process was and that it only took a minute to add the sensor. The sensor was placed on my cheek and I barely noticed it was there. I found the game very entertaining and was very determined to win! I wasn’t fatigued after playing which I liked. I can’t wait to get a device for our clinic!”

Stay tuned as we’ll be announcing our 1st place Kinemo Connect winner soon!
