Dear Family and Friends of Golden Villa,

Influenza (flu) is a potentially serious illness that can lead to hospitalization and, in some cases, death. Each flu season varies in severity, and the flu affects individuals differently. Every year, millions of people contract the flu, resulting in hundreds of thousands of hospitalizations and thousands to tens of thousands of deaths from flu-related complications.
These complications may include bacterial pneumonia, ear and sinus infections, and the worsening of chronic medical conditions such as congestive heart failure, asthma, or diabetes. The best defense against the flu is an annual seasonal flu vaccine.
Flu season officially begins on October 1st. Golden Villa will begin offering flu vaccinations to residents and staff starting in October 2025.
Our team remains committed to protecting our residents from both COVID-19 and the flu by continuing to follow CDC guidelines and best practices. If you have any questions regarding vaccinations for your loved one, please contact Golden Villa Infection Prevention at 903-796-0290, Monday through Friday between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM.
A gentle reminder: If you are feeling unwell or experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 or flu-like illness—including but not limited to fever, chills, nausea, vomiting, body aches, or cold-like symptoms—please postpone your visit until you are fully recovered.
