We had the BEST time, eating watermelon for Memorial Day… The residents said that the melons were so sweet and so delicious, the weather was beautiful, and the music was good! 😉

Golden Villa nursing and rehab want to Thank Atlanta Wal Mart, for donating watermelons to our residents to eat for Memorial Day! This is the second year in a row that they’ve donated to us and we are SO grateful!! ❤️❤️❤️

If anyone would like to donate Watermelon to our facility, for our residents to eat next Monday… that would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!! Last yr Wall Mart donated several and even delivered them to us!!! We were SO GREATFUL for that, the residents got “watermelon wasted” They LOVE fresh, cold, watermelon!!!!!

The last day of National Nursing Home Week!! Thank You to EVERYONE that helped me, and made this week possible!!! Friday, is “Down on the Farm” day, and I believe the residents LOVED petting the baby chicks, baby ducks, baby goats, Australian Shepherd puppies, piggies, big chickens, and more… once they were done petting the farm animals, they came into the dinning area to eat pulled pork sandwiches, coleslaw, and baked beans, cooked by the One and Only Andrew Bobbitt!!! I believe our residents had a blast this week, and can’t wait for next years National Nursing Home Week!!! (Or at least, that’s what I’m praying for!)

The fourth day of Nursing Home week! 50s Day!! We had “Name that tune” in the morning and Marshal Hospice graced us with Lisa and Tony (and Linda King) with a beautiful, Live performance and Coke/Rootbeer
Floats in the afternoon! We have had a wonderful week so far!!
Down on the farm day tomorrow!!!
Baby animals to pet, and pulled pork, coleslaw, and baked beans to eat and enjoy!
Happy National Nursing Home week!!!
