As a reminder, I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor with 20 years of experience. My primary focus is working with high achieving adults (and college students) who are managing anxiety, depression, perfectionism, chronic health issues, and life transitions (from leaving home to kids leaving home to peri/menopause to caring for aging parents).

I see individuals and have two group offerings:

WISDOM for women in mid-life who are evaluating career, partnerships, friendships, physical and emotional changes during peri/menopause, and transitioning roles with being parents of young adults and being adult children of aging parents.

ACCESS for people managing chronic health and disability concerns.

I am still practicing saying just “No” when there is a deeply internalized, inappropriate urge to justify my point of view.

My heart is heavy for my own child, my family, our friends, and the entire community. Today, our high school is swarming with police protection as an investigation is underway concerning a threat of mass shooting, which may or may not be a hacking/hoax/copycat issue.

No matter the facts or misconceptions, everyone is experiencing an array of emotions. Emotions that may or may not match the others around them.

I’m incredibly and especially grateful for the school’s leadership, staff, volunteers, and security for all they are doing.

I hope for everyone to take care of themselves and each other in the ways that are best for them. ❤️🙏🏻

I have a gorgeous therapy office in my suite in Midtown Atlanta that is available immediately! For years, I have worked on de-personalizing anxiety as with me, but not ME. The Anxiety Monster is its name and the Whammy from Press Your Luck (1980s game show from my childhood) has always been my mental picture of it! I bought a plush Whammy/Anxiety Monster and now I can actually punch it when it tries to attack me!
