AQIS Academy Promotion Announcement – March 2025
The AQIS Academy of Qigong and Internal Studies is proud to announce the following promotions from our March 2025 Formal Evaluation and Testing.
This event was a significant moment for AQIS Academy, with a distinguished testing panel bringing together over 163 years of combined training experience. Associate Master Tremayne Brown traveled to join Sr. Master Reid, Associate Master Diana Rixom, Associate Master Diane Davis, and Associate Master Laurence Stacy in leading the evaluation. They were supported by senior students and instructors, including Sifu Kireeti Sangadala, Instructor Madison Dietz, Instructor Melissa Dietz, and Instructor Nancy Fritsch. AQIS Academy is honored to have such dedicated students committed to mastering the intricacies of internal training through our diverse and comprehensive curriculum.
Promotions to 5th Degree Associate Master of Internal Arts
We are proud to recognize two exceptional students who have earned the prestigious rank of 5th Degree Associate Master of Internal Arts:
* Associate Master Diane Davis
* Associate Master Laurence Stacy
Earning this rank required intensive preparation and testing. These senior-level students demonstrated a deep intellectual understanding and exceptional physical proficiency across multiple disciplines, including Shaolin and Eight Immortal Blue Dragon Qigong, Tenaga Dalam, Inti-Ombak Yoga, and various systems of Tai Chi, Bagua, and Hsing-I. Their expertise in energetics, healing, and martial applications is a testament to their dedication and mastery.
Promotions to 1st Degree Black Sash in Internal Arts
We are excited to announce four students who have earned the rank of 1st Degree Black Sash in Internal Arts:
* Judy Maguire
* Terri Daniels
* Amanda VanHiel
* Daniel VanHiel
Achieving a Black Sash is a remarkable milestone that reflects their internal strength, perseverance, and commitment to self-improvement. Each of these students is now working toward their teaching certification, and we could not be prouder. They are recognized as serious practitioners of the Internal Arts, ready to take on new challenges and responsibilities.
Promotions to 2nd Brown Sash in Internal Arts
Congratulations to our students who have earned the rank of 2nd Brown Sash in Internal Arts:
* James Siegrist
* Jeannie Szucs
Testing in front of a formal panel can be nerve-wracking, but James and Jeannie demonstrated impressive skill and command of the arts. Their performance in 8 Immortal Blue Dragon Qigong, Yang Style & Chen Style Tai Chi, Tai Chi Broadsword, and the martial applications of Tai Chi was outstanding. We look forward to seeing their continued growth and future achievements.
