This is an absolute dream come true! We cannot wait to provide high quality client- and patient-centered care for our community.

The Veterinary Eye Team (The V.E.T.) is a modern, community-based veterinary ophthalmology practice dedicated to restoring and protecting vision across all species. We combine advanced eye care with clear communication, collaboration, and compassion, supporting both pet families and referring veterinarians every step of the way.

Hopefully, opening mid-February to late February.

These little kitties all have the same issue. They’re living their best lives, but give me some guesses for the diagnosis and potential causes for their main issue.

This is a 1 year old male neutered Beagle with a smooth, nonulcerated mass on the eyelid that just popped up.

What do you think it is? How worried should we be? What would you do about it?

If you like abscesses, you’ll love a chalazion expression.

Most of the time chalazions are impacted meibomian glands secondary to a small mass that needs debulking, not just expression. Warm compresses and massage may help, but most of the time these need debulking and expression in my experience.

I actually love staying informed about general medical info. It only helps me be a better ophthalmologist for my clients and patients. When it comes to decision making though, I do leave it up to the experts — our amazing general practitioners.

You’re never as smart as when you’ve just taken a big test.

Runny eyes, squinting, and sneezing? 😿 Your cat could be dealing with feline herpesvirus (FHV-1)—a common cause of eye infections, especially in kittens and shelter cats. This virus hides in the body and can flare up during stress, causing painful conjunctivitis or corneal ulcers. Keep their environment calm and stay on top of vet visits!
