This past Sunday, I hosted my first Mindful Morning Walk Pop-up for 2026 to welcome spring. I received one RSVP and I was pumped! Unfortunately, the individual was a no show, but I decided to walk anyway because I was at a trail that I have never explored before.

During my walk, I not only enjoyed getting lost in nature, I also had a great conversation with myself. For past pop-ups that didn’t get any RSVPs or resulted in no-shows, I would cancel or leave and not complete the walk. In the midst of the conversation, I was reminded of my whys for starting the pop-ups:

- To connect to the community
- To help others reconnect to nature as a mental wellness tool
- To explore walking trails and parks in the metro area
- To make sure I’m practicing what I preach

So at the end of my walk, I decided that when I schedule a walk, I WILL WALK regardless of RSVPs. Cancellations will occur only due to weather restrictions or personal conflicts.
