✈️ 💙 Traveling with Type 1 Diabetes in NYC = My insulin to carb ratio changes as what I’m eating is different and my activity is different.
Pic 2) 🍴 I ate a delicious macaroon and listened to jazz in the park. I dosed 1/2 a bolus as I knew I’d be walking. But, this was dessert with a late lunch due to my flight and I went low heading to
3) The Museum of Moving Image.
4) Brunch was Mexican. I still went low walking after dosing a lot less for this.
5) Carrie’s stoop from S*x and The City
6) The reason we came to NYC-to spend time with our son ♥️
7)🪴 A chef pop up at a beautiful home and some delicious food. We walked after and I ate a few gummy bears. I had a few too many and went high. It’s part of T1D life baby. I’m out here guessing carbs and activity and I’m not an actual pancreas.

🚨 Excited to announce the first event from T1DWomen—a new initiative focused on supporting women and girls living with Type 1 Diabetes.
While T1D affects all genders, there’s a significant gap in resources and conversations tailored specifically to women’s health needs—from hormones and blood sugars to food, stress, and long-term care.
