This week, Kim Jones took part in Mental Health Parity Day at the Capitol, hosted by The Carter Center in partnership with the Georgia Parity Collaborative.

The day centered on lived experiences and advocacy around access to mental health and substance use disorder care — especially during moments of crisis when support is most critical. Participants also emphasized the importance of fully enforcing the Mental Health Parity Act and ensuring accountability when protections are violated, including directing collected fines toward programs that support those affected.
