đŸ’€ Some days with Hashimoto’s, your body tells you loud and clear: “Not today.”

You might wake up exhausted
 push yourself anyway
and then life throws you a flat tire or a curveball. Sometimes that’s just the reminder you need: your body asked for rest first.

✹ And that’s okay.
🛑 Cancel the to-do list.
đŸ’€ Skip the workout, the hangouts, even family activities if you need to.

Rest. Recover. Reset.

Because with Hashimoto’s, honoring your limits isn’t weakness—it’s wisdom. Tomorrow, you’ll come back stronger. đŸ’Ș

👉 Comment “REST” if you’ve ever had to hit pause for your health.

Living with Hashimoto’s can already feel like an uphill battle — fatigue, brain fog, inflammation
it’s a lot to carry. And when you hear advice like “just try intermittent fasting,” it can feel overwhelming or even discouraging.

Here’s the truth: if you don’t have insulin resistance or metabolic syndrome, you don’t need to force yourself into long fasting windows. Hashimoto’s isn’t about starving your body — it’s about supporting it. 💙

✹ A few gentle shifts that actually make a difference:

Focus on lowering your toxic + inflammatory load (every little swap adds up).

Aim to get enough protein —You need plenty of protein when you have Hashimotos. Proteins are crucial components of the immune system, such as antibodies and cytokines, and helps regulate immune cell activity.

Instead of pushing through long fasts, try eating within 30 minutes of waking to fuel your body first thing.

Remember: your healing journey doesn’t have to look like everyone else’s. You’re allowed to honor what your body truly needs. 🌿

If you’re dealing with Hashimoto’s, inflammation is driving everything—from brain fog to fatigue to weight gain.

The good news? There are simple ways to help your body process that inflammation and feel better:

✹ Red light therapy—gentle and powerful for cell repair
đŸ”„ Sweating (sauna or movement)—a natural detoxifier
đŸƒâ€â™€ïž Daily exercise—boosts circulation and lymph flow

None of these are gimmicks. They’re science-backed tools I use and recommend to my patients.

💡 You don’t have to stay stuck in the inflammation loop.

Start small. Start now.

07/16/2025

Here’s why it happens:
🧬 Cells are resistant to insulin because of too much sugar from the mondern diet
đŸš« Without enough T3—or if you’re insulin resistant—glucose gets stuck in your blood
âŹ†ïž That sugar ends up getting stored as fat, not fuel
đŸ’„ And that process drains your body and tanks your energy

So it’s not about willpower or eating less—it’s about getting to the root of the metabolic dysfunction.

You’re not lazy. Your cells are starving.

🧠 Low thyroid function slows your metabolism AND disrupts the signals to your inner ear that help you stay balanced
đŸ”„ Inflammation affects proprioception (your ability to know where your body is in space)
đŸ’€ Fatigue, stiffness, and weakness from low thyroid hormone make it harder to stand tall and steady

If you’ve been feeling off, dizzy, or “just not grounded,” it’s not all in your head—and it’s not just aging.

💡 Get your thyroid checked. Balanced hormones = better posture, steadier movement, and more confidence.

Here’s why:
🧠 Low thyroid hormone (like T3) slows down your entire metabolism—especially how your body handles glucose.
đŸ”„ On top of that, chronic inflammation from Hashimoto’s releases cytokines that block insulin receptors.
đŸ’„ So your cells stay starving—even with plenty of sugar in your blood. Excess glucos in the blood turns to fat and then leading to insulin resistance.

This is why so many women with thyroid issues also struggle with weight, energy, and blood sugar swings.

If this sounds like you, I promise—you’re not crazy and you’re not alone.

If you have autoimmune disease, insulin resistance, or metabolic syndrome
 listen up. 👀

🧠 “Type 3 Diabetes” is what many experts now call Alzheimer’s linked to insulin resistance in the brain. And yes—it starts years before diagnosis.

Early signs?
âžĄïž Brain fog
âžĄïž Poor memory
âžĄïž Fatigue
âžĄïž Belly fat + hormone crashes
âžĄïž Mood issues

This is why I’m so passionate about looking deeper—because the brain and body are connected. Chronic inflammation + poor metabolic health doesn’t just affect how your jeans fit—it affects how your brain works.

I had been trying to add dairy into my diet recently, knowing full well I have a sensitivity (Hashimoto’s + dairy = đŸš«). The result? 👇 (see photo)
My body couldn’t handle the toxins around me, and my immune system tapped out.

đŸ’„ My face flared up.
đŸ’„ My joints hurt.
đŸ’„ My body said “hard no.”

Now that I’ve cut dairy again, my skin is clear, my joints feel better, and I feel like me again.

Dairy is part of my puzzle. Yours may be differnt.

Let this be your reminder that food sensitivities are no joke—especially with autoimmunity. When we ask patients to remove something from their diet, it’s not to punish you—it’s to free your body to heal.

If you’re dealing with:
➀ Hashimoto’s
➀ Bloating
➀ Brain fog
➀ Flare-ups no one can explain...

Let’s talk. Whole-body healing is what we do.

Pregnant? A new parent? Wondering what the heck a baby adjustment looks like?

Let me show you.

💡 It’s calm and percise.
💡 It blances misalighnments like head rotation (head turned to one side more than the other).
💡 It supports digestion, sleep, latch, and even colic.

In this video, I’m gently adjusting a baby lying supine (on their back). No force, no cracking—just light touch that supports your baby’s nervous system and development.

We adjust babies every week here at Midtown Atlanta Chiropractic—and parents tell us all the time how much it helps.

Think of your body like a water bottle.
Every day, stress, toxins, processed foods, and infections add more water to that bottle — your toxic load.

Now here’s the thing: your body can handle some. But once that bottle starts to overflow?
đŸ’„ That’s when the immune system flips — and autoimmunity turns on.

In this video, I explain my favorite way to understand autoimmune triggers and why some people stay in remission while others develop new symptoms out of nowhere.

Whether you’re managing Hashimoto’s, another autoimmune condition, or simply want to prevent future issues — this analogy will help you understand the “why” behind what you’re feeling
 and what to do next.

🎯 Our goal? Keep that water level down so you never hit the overflow point.
