C-section recovery deserves just as much support, guidance, and care as any other birth experience, and your pelvic floor is still a huge part of that healing!

Even with a C-section, pregnancy, surgery, and months of compensating can lead to:
✨ Core weakness or separation
✨ Scar tension or sensitivity
✨ Pelvic floor tightness (yes, even without a vaginal birth!)
✨ Low back or hip pain
✨ Bladder or bowel changes
✨ Pain with movement or returning to exercise

Pelvic floor therapy helps you reconnect with your core, improve mobility, manage scar tissue, and rebuild strength safely so you can feel more like you again.

Birth is birth and every body deserves support in recovery. 🤍 Our team at ATL Pelvic Health is here to guide you through every step of your C-section healing journey.

Early postpartum movement doesn’t always look like it used to and that’s okay. With a new baby, finding the time (or energy) to “work out” can feel impossible, so I focus on movement snacks throughout the day instead.

Baby wants to be held or worn? Perfect. I sneak in a few lunges, squats, gentle hip mobility, or breathwork while we’re already moving through the day. No workout clothes, no equipment, no structured routine required, just real-life postpartum movement.

If you’re not sure where to start or what’s safe in these early weeks, our Postpartum Program at ATL Pelvic Health can guide you every step of the way — helping you rebuild strength, confidence, and connection to your body.

Send us a message or head to our website to get started. You deserve support in this season!

During this postpartum period, I’ve had to be even more intentional about slowing down. As a second-time mom, it’s been harder to limit how much I pick up my older daughter (who’s been wanting all the extra mommy snuggles), but I’m reminding myself that rest and recovery is so important, especially for my pelvic floor, during these early days.

Throughout these first two weeks, I’ve focused on giving my body time to heal which means lots of rest, short walks for my mental health (and some vitamin D), and gentle diaphragmatic breathing with light pelvic floor and core engagement to reconnect from the inside out.

Now, I’m slowly increasing my movement by listening to my body and watching for signs like increased bleeding, leakage of urine, heaviness in my pelvic lightheadedness or headaches. All of these things cue me that I may be pushing too much too soon.

If you’re in your own season of postpartum recovery, our Postpartum Program at ATL Pelvic Health can help you safely rebuild your core and pelvic floor, restore strength, and feel confident returning to movement and motherhood without worrying about symptoms like heaviness, pressure or leaking!

We have all been told things like “just do Kegels,” “relax with glass of wine,” or “leaking is normal after birth.”

But here’s the truth — those are myths that need to vanish for good. 👻

Your pelvic floor deserves more than blanket advice. Whether it’s pain, leaking, or constipation, the root cause is usually not a one size fits all fix! At ATL Pelvic Health, we help uncover what your pelvic floor actually needs so you can move, laugh, sneeze, and live confidently again.

Ready to bust the myths and feel like yourself again? Reach out to learn more about getting started!

We are thrilled to announce the birth of Allison “Allie” Frances Simmons 💕 on October 14th. We had the most amazing team and support and would not have been able to do it without them! Both mom and baby are happy and healthy (and adjusting to life with two littles). We are all enjoying lots of cuddles together!
