Every year, around this time, the standing rib roasts go on sale. In the past I paid as little as $5.99/lb. When they are not on sale they can go upwards of $17.99/lb. This year, due to@the higher beef costs, I was able to snag these for $9.99/lb. Not exactly $5.89 bit much lower than $17.99.

I always buy a few of them. This year I bought 7. The largest one will have the honor of being served for Christmas dinner.
