COVID-19 UPDATE: WE’RE BACK!
Looking forward to seeing our loyal patients again and welcoming new patients.
Since March 23, 2020 all dental practices in the state were under Government mandate to provide only urgent and emergency care to patients. We are elated to announce that on April 27th, Governor Abbott announced that this mandate will expire on April 30th. Phase one of “re-opening Texas” will begin May 1st and includes Texas’ dental practices, to resume “routine” dental care.
We at General and Implant Dentistry are extremely thankful to report that I and the entire staff have remained healthy and are now eager to perform our duties as your dental provider. Our prayer is that all of our patients endured the last few weeks without much hardship and are in good physical and dental health.
Although our established infection control protocols have always met or exceeded state and national guidelines, our office has implemented heightened levels of disinfection. Additionally, we will make every effort to comply with social distancing recommendations and will schedule appointments accordingly. Our ultimate goal is for all of our patients and staff to remain healthy throughout every phase of “re-opening Texas”. Thank you for your trust in us. We are all facing unprecedented change and uncertainty, as we continue to monitor the evolving situation caused by COVID-19. I am reaching out to update you on the latest steps we are taking to protect our community. Our highest priority, is the safety and well-being of all of our patients and our staff. Due to recent developments with the COVID-19 pandemic, the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners, Texas Dental Association, and the CDC have asked that all dentists see patients for emergency purposes only. This includes, but may not be limited to, symptoms such as pain, swelling, broken teeth, and trauma.

Due to these guidelines, we are temporarily postponing “routine” dental visits. Rest assured, we will continue to serve our community for any emergency needs. Our office will remain open, during our regular business hours.

We at General & Implant Dentistry are actively monitoring the evolving COVD-19 viral outbreak. We have always practiced proper sterilization and disinfection techniques to guard against the most virulent pathogens to date, like Hepatitis B, and Tuberculosis. We always utilize universal precautions with every patient, including the use of a dental dam for the majority of procedures which all but eliminates aerosols from the mouth. We will continue to monitor the recommendations of the CDC, Texas State Dental Board, and the Texas State Board of Health.
We are here if you need us. However, we are asking if you have one or more symptoms of COVID 19 to postpone any nonemergency treatment.
