Just reflecting on that one time asked me to talk about pelvic health on national television. 🤩 This was such a crazy, exciting experience I’ll never forget. made the entire experience so comfortable and inviting, and telling to get on his hands and knees is now a forever core memory. 😂

PelviCon 2023 - Part 1… 2 days spent with 625 other pelvic health PT nerds. The only conference where presentations about a**l s*x, erectile dysfunction, and stress incontinence are completely 100% normal. Total latergram, but the first week down in the new clinic space was a success! I’m absolutely obsessed with how it all turned out and how it’s continuing to develop. June is Pride month and as an out gay practitioner, I’m always acutely aware of what this month means for not only myself, but for my patients as well.

Being in the LGBTQIA+ community, as well as in the healthcare industry, representation matters. Especially in pelvic health. The rights of my q***r family are constantly being attacked - especially the trans community. My main goal when starting a q***r owned, q***r oriented pelvic health clinic was to create a safe space within the healthcare sphere for patients to feel welcome, respected, and deserving of quality care. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️❤️

Virtual consults! What are they? What do you talk about? Who are they for?

Virtual consults are intended for people who either know they have pelvic floor dysfunction or think they might have pelvic floor dysfunction; and who want a safe space to ask questions regarding their symptoms to a pelvic floor therapist.

I hear over and over how people don’t know that PF PT is a thing or that they didn’t know there was help for their symptoms. These consults won’t take the place of actual in-person therapy and therapeutic recommendations won’t be made, but I love to educate and talk to people, so that’s what these are for. 🤗

Love to see these emails early on a Monday morning! This is a p***s having patient who was suffering from urinary urgency/frequency, hesitancy, retention, and intense pelvic pain for the last 18 months. These are his words after his FIRST session.

Therapy works, y’all! If you’ve been given Flomax, or been prescribed rounds and rounds of antibiotics, or have been told, “we don’t know what’s wrong with you”, reach out to a pelvic PT! We may be able to help!
