Richmont Graduate University is a Christ-centered education and research institution committed to equipping graduates who function at the highest professional levels of clinical counseling and vocational ministry. The University offers fully accredited graduate degree programs from its School of Counseling and School of Ministry with the M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling holding the highest accreditation available in its field (CACREP). With campuses in Atlanta, Chattanooga, and online, Richmont is known for its distinguished faculty and unparalleled in-field training, including serving some 25,000 clients annually through ten community counseling centers near its campuses. Richmont is the oldest faith-integrated counseling program in the eastern U.S., and its graduates consistently rank among the top 15% nationwide in licensing test scores. The University enjoys a rich heritage beginning in 1933, with roots in the former Psychological Studies Institute in Atlanta and the former Chattanooga Bible Institute.

Richmont's annual Internship Fair saw supervisors from sites around Atlanta networking with current students who are looking to start the internship stage of their counseling journey. Many sites were represented by Richmont alumni who are now guiding and inspiring the next generation of graduates!

Richmont Graduate University had an incredible time at Word of Faith this weekend. Director of Marketing and Communications, Rochelle Mason, and Therapist/Admissions Counselor, Celina Noble, represented Richmont and shared information about our Master's degrees in Ministry and Counseling with Bishop Bronner's congregation.

Richmont connected with members who are passionate about their calling, and had meaningful conversations about how our degrees can support their ministry and counseling goals. We are grateful for Dr. Christopher Boyd, a leader at Word of Faith and a professor in the Richmont School of Ministry, for helping make this visit possible. It was also a joy connecting with Pastor Courtney Wright, a long-time friend of Richmont and an instrumental leader in the formation of one of our School of Ministry programs.

We are excited for the great things to come with Word of Faith Cathedral!

Richmont started the holiday season by hosting Chattanooga's first Christmas Market! We had an amazing time inviting our community to stop by and browse student-run booths of wares including handmade art, vintage clothing, fresh baked treats, and more. Thank you to everyone who made this evening possible!

This week, Richmont's Office of Diversity and Inclusion held its last Multicultural Stories event of the year. We welcomed special guest Barbara L. Peacock as she spoke on spiritual formation, spiritual direction, and how to live in God's love.

At Richmont's second annual Day of Service, students, faculty, and staff came together to pack snack bags for children in Restoration Atlanta's After School Program. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to serve the Atlanta community!

Restoration Atlanta’s After School Program (RATL ASP) partners with Atlanta Public Schools to provide elementary school students in under-resourced communities with a high-quality after school experience including homework assistance, Biblical programming, character development, and recreational time that allows them to learn, play, and grow outside the classroom.

Last week, Richmont's Atlanta campus held its third annual Chili Cookoff! We saw a record number of entries from classic beef chili to the winning Cacio e Pepe White Chicken Chili. Congrats to student Liz Aghamkar for winning the second year in a row! Thank you to all chili-makers and chili-eaters for participating and to Student Affairs for hosting this fun event, we'll see you again next year!
