Protecting my peace means accepting what I can’t control:

• How others feel about me
• Their actions or lack of effort
• The timing of things
• The past
• The future
• How people choose to show up

But what I can control?
🌿 My reactions
🕯️ My boundaries
🧘🏽‍♀️ My mindset
💛 My self-care
🗣️ My truth
📴 My energy

Peace starts the moment I choose surrender over stress. 🕊️
I’m giving myself permission to focus on what’s mine.

If you’re feeling drained, emotionally numb, or like you’re just going through the motions, you might be burned out. Not broken. 🧘🏽‍♀️

Burnout shows up when we carry more than we were ever meant to hold alone. Overworking, overgiving, overthinking, and forgetting to pour back into ourselves.

July is Minority Mental Health Awareness Month 🧠✨

Mental health is still a taboo topic in many communities of color. We’re taught to “be strong,” to “pray it away,” to “keep it in the family.” But silence doesn’t heal wounds.

We carry trauma, systemic stress, grief, and pressure—and we still show up. But being strong doesn’t mean you have to suffer in silence. Strength is also asking for help. Strength is choosing therapy. Strength is saying, “I’m not okay right now.”

Let’s break the stigma and build spaces where healing is normalized, therapy is celebrated, and our stories are heard. 🖤🧡💚

To my Black and Brown brothers and sisters—your mental health matters. Your healing matters. You matter. 💛

You are not your anxiety. Breathe, ground yourself, and remember—this moment will pass. 💛

Mental health doesn’t discriminate—but access, understanding, and support too often do.

For Black, Brown, Indigenous, and other minority communities, mental health struggles are real—but so is our resilience.

This month, let’s break the silence, fight the stigma, and make space for healing conversations.
You don’t have to have it all together. You’re allowed to feel. You’re allowed to heal.

🗣️ Talk about it. Get support.
💛 You matter. Your story matters. Your healing matters.

Today’s reminder: You don’t have to “have it all together” to be worthy of care. Let’s normalize not being okay sometimes. Check on your strong friends. Check on yourself. 💚

Honoring Juneteenth: Freedom. Reflection. Healing.

As we celebrate Juneteenth, we also acknowledge the deep generational trauma that Black and Brown communities have carried for centuries.

Mental health matters now more than ever.

At DBDT, we recognize that true freedom includes the right to emotional well-being, access to care, and safe spaces for healing. This Juneteenth, let’s not only remember history, but also make space to care for our minds and spirits.

Mental health is liberation.

June is Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month. Let’s shine a light on the silent struggles that many men face. Over 6 million of those suffering from depression are men and are left undiagnosed.

May is Mental Health Awareness!
💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚
This month is a reminder that taking care of our mental health is just as important as our physical health, and seeking support is a courageous act!

“Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) is a mental health condition characterized by two or more distinct personality states, each with its own way of thinking, feeling, and behaving.
These different personalities or identities may have their own names, voices, and mannerisms, and can emerge at different times and in different situations. Individuals with DID often have a history of severe childhood trauma or abuse, which is believed to contribute to the development of the condition.” Symptoms of DID may include memory loss, gaps in memory, dissociative amnesia, dissociative fugue, and depersonalization or derealization.
An individual that may be struggling with DID should seek treatment with a licensed professional. Treatment may consist of psychotherapy and medication management.
