In this weekend restorative yoga training created from Ta***ic Hatha Yoga teachings, and the work of Herbert Benson and Jon Kabat Zinn, participants will gain practical, hands on experience and skills to work with a wide range of populations. The program will include posture practice, pranayama, meditation, mantra, mudra, visualization, and use of props to create a safe/comfortable/healing environment. Participants will leave the training confident in their ability to understand the philosophy and science behind restorative yoga, as well as self-assured in their aptitude to lead their students through a complete restorative yoga practice.

Restorative yoga is a gentle inward form of yoga that invites participants to move towards greater balance, control and participation in their life. The participant’s body is placed in yoga postures that are supported with props. The mind is invited to slow down with the use of pranayama, visualization and mantra allowing the individual to turn inside. A restorative practice is a complement to any yoga practice or other form of exercise and perfect for almost any practitioner looking to experience a deeper state of relaxation and healing than Savasana or sleep. It is also a perfect practice for those recovering from injury or illness or anyone who experiences stress on a daily basis.

Credits/CEUs
We invite yoga teachers from all traditions to join us for this 300-hour level module. This course satisfied an asana requirement or can be used as an elective for Pranakriya’s 300-hour advanced yoga teacher training certification, and provides 20 YA CEUs to all yoga teachers.

We invite you to cultivate a deeper sense of self-compassion through discussion, breathwork, and journaling led by Vickie Hunter, wellness
coach, and Victoria Antonelli, breathwork facilitator. Some activities will be completed solo, while others in small groups, so you can take
self-compassion from reflection to connection.

A sound bath is a meditative and healing journey and one of the most relaxing experiences you can give yourself. It is an effective form of deep rest and rejuvenation for your physical body & your mind. Just 30 minutes of rest and meditation in a sound bath can be equivalent to 2 hours of deep sleep.

This journey of sound incorporates angelic healing sounds which radiate from quartz crystal bowls tuned to the 7-point chakra system (your body’s energy system), a native drum will mimic the sound of ocean waves which are cleansing and clearing and finally, gentle tones from Koshi chimes tuned specifically to the four elements will complete the experience. Rebecca’s sound bath experiences are cleansing and rejuvenating on the deepest cellular levels; connecting mind, body and spirit.

Yoga helps her tune into the sensations she experiences, which is a constant reminder of the importance of self-awareness and mindfulness. Embodiment in yoga means embracing each movement as an expression of who she is in the present moment, without judgment or expectation.

One of Kenzie’s favorite teachings comes from the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali: “Yogas chitta vritti nirodhah” (Yoga is the stilling of the fluctuations of the mind). This sutra reminds her that yoga is more than just physical postures—it’s a way to quiet the mind and cultivate a stronger connection with the self.
