We struggle with many types challenges while trying to get healthier- from drinking more water, to eating more produce and controlling our vices. Even simply finding time in our busy schedules between family, work, and other obligations can be a battle. How can we establish healthy habits beyond working out for a better lifestyle? Alex Marshall of Comprehensive Family Wellness, LLC. Uses health education strategies to provide practical methods of healthy lifestyle change for busy people with a lot on their plates. There is no other group quite like this- Alex posts videos and shares tips around our biggest issues surrounding changing our lifestyles. CFW Members can discuss experiences with one another provide a community for one another while healthy habits are established. Welcome and let’s get started!

Need to satisfy that sweet tooth and stay on track with your goals?! TRY THIS!

Smoothie base:
- 1cup frozen sliced bananas
-“splash” of plant-based milk for desired texture
- 1Tbsn unsweetened cocoa/cacao/carob powder
- 1/2 scoop Plant-based protein powder
- Blend in food processor into desired texture.
- Place in freezer to firm

Toppings:
- Smashed Chocolate almonds (can be replaced w/ shredded coconut)
- Chia Granola
- Frozen cherry halves (can be replaced with other fruit)

The kids will love this too!!Will you be trying this one out???

You need to be “consistent”.
You don’t “have time”.
You don’t know how to start.
You “lack discipline”.

These might be true, but if they are, it’s only because you aren’t being specific and intentional!

No one can go from zero (barely being active at all), to 💯 (reaching their fitness goals) without these steps to start!
1. WHY are you doing this? And no, not “I want to lose weight”; if you do not lose this weight, how will your life be affected? Is your confidence low, do you have a health risk? What’s the ultimate “WHY”?
2. Set S.M.A.R.T. goals and smaller objectives - “I want to lose weight” is not a real goal. Every aspect of action needs to be clearly stated in order for you to act on it- those will be your objectives.
3. Create your plan- your goals and objectives will tell you what you need to do in order to achieve them. Lay your daily/weekly plan out accordingly, and OBEY!

This is the start! This is starting from zero! How far will you go? 💯

Isn’t this always the case???

We’re inconsistent because we think we need to be in a gym or that exercise looks one way, and we end up shooting ourselves in the foot!

I’ve been there so many times- I fall off and think that because I had reached a prior goal some time before that my consistency didn’t matter as much anymore. WRONG!

Just because you hit a milestone doesn’t mean that it won’t take intention and effort to stay there. But it doesn’t have to be a burden!

There was a time when I just used to roll out of bed with no intention or focus. I didn’t workout, I didn’t always eat (even though I might have been hungry), and I definitely wasn’t praying or journaling.
I’d be lucky if I got out of bed to make it to work on time!

I was always stressed and I just KNEW I wasn’t a “morning person”…

I’m still not! 🤣 But at least I find joy and purpose in the habits I’ve created to get my day going.

Planning physical activity into some part of your day can really give you a mental and emotional boost, as well. This is one of the components we will cover in my 90-Day At Home Beginners Program.

This weekend was one of firsts for our son- he had his first formal event for his school, and was recognized as a game MVP during his first season in soccer.

Trying new things is HARD, but taking that first step is often half the battle. So excited to see what else comes for Ethan this year!
