Instead, we face a radically different landscape than we did this time last year: one in which dozens of independent clinics have been forced to stop providing abortion care and 14 states are without a single abortion clinic.

In just 2022, KOC has released 1.7 million dollars in funds directly to clinics. These funds help with the expenses associated with preserving access to abortion, legal assistance, education, and advocacy. We couldn’t have done any of this without you! And while this is a huge reason to celebrate, we know indie clinics continue to need help. Indies work tiressly to truly ensure abortion access is a reality. Post-Roe, indie clinics will continue to provide the majority of abortion care in this country. Effective immediately, July 20, 2022, the state of GA has enacted a ban against abortion if a fetal heartbeat has been detected (approximately 6 weeks of pregnancy.)
