Sean Runyan is an American Council on Exercise (A.C.E.) certified personal trainer, having earned his accreditation in 2014. After years of exercise experience in the weight room and on the hardwood, Sean sought to fuse his athletic passions into helping others as a personal trainer. Sean is a lifelong athlete and has traveled the country playing basketball and soccer at their highest competitive levels. Sean is also a 2011 graduate from The University of Georgia, where he majored in Advertising through Grady College of Journalism and minored in Music Business through Terry College of Business. Sean has spent the majority of his professional career working in the entertainment industry for popular musical talents, such as Zac Brown Band and Widespread Panic. After tearing his anterior cruciate ligament (A.C.L.) in his right knee in 2011 while playing basketball, Sean began to study the efficient practices that must go into exercise and living well. Now, Sean's training ideology is to help men and women achieve their health and fitness goals by developing safe and sustainable workout regimens. His personalized and detail-oriented training strategies motivate those around him to develop well-balanced, healthy lifestyles. Contact me here:

ATLANTA FRIENDS - I'M BACK!

It's been 5 years since I stepped away from Personal Training to begin Evertrain. I'm SO pumped to announce that I'm returning to training with one-on-one sessions and in-person classes!

If you're looking for a new and challenging way to build muscle then come try PUMP, my 1-hour functional bodybuilding class exclusively at CrossFit 11:24!

PUMP is for anyone who wants to focus on control over intensity and thus, improve their overall body composition, muscle mass, and movement quality.

PUMP is all about YOU being in control. Each class will have a body-point specific focus (ex: Chest, Arms, Glutes, Core, etc.) featuring conventional and functional bodybuilding movements (Bench Press, Bicep Curls, Goblet Squats, etc.). By isolating these muscle groups, you’ll build strength, develop new muscle, and increase your overall functional movement in your day-to-day activities. Each class will have a beginner, intermediate, and advanced track so that YOU can learn and grow.

Another huge transformation in progress at our gym. My client Akram has been crushing it since the Fall. This is his 10 month transformation. Our 4x per week training regiment consists of strength, hypertrophy, endurance and high intensity interval training. We leave no stone unturned and it shows in his new physique! Here is some bar path work during a recent leg session. I'm trying my best to keep a vertical bar path throughout my squats.

It's so easy to let the weight control you during resistance training. I always tell my clients that it is important for YOU to control the weight. Most think of weight lifting as simply moving said resistance from point A to point B, which is not always the case. I suggest lowering the weight, focusing on proper positioning and dialing in your movement pattern with correct form. Your overall performance will improve with practice.
