October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. While we celebrate this month for those who have fought and won and those who have fought and passed on, it is a reminder for all Women and Men to get their Mammograms! I’d like to take special moment to acknowledge my dear friend and two time breast cancer survivor Erica. She is a survivor because she Listened to her body! She got her mammograms and took action when she knew something wasn’t right! The message to all of us is to know yourself and be a responsible advocate for your own health. Erica is such a brilliant light in the world and her dedication to life,work, family and community is something I will always aspire to achieve! It’s fitting that her bday also falls in October. She’s 50 and reversing the hands of time. Her message and mine is to get checked via a mammogram and to get your annual physicals even if you think you are fine! Your health is your greatest asset!
