✨👼 Angel Warrior Spotlight: Zaviyar 👼✨

At just 16 months old, Zaviyar showed a strength far beyond his years. Born with Tetralogy of Fallot, he carried a light that could brighten any room. With his sparkling eyes and sweet smile, you would never know how much he was truly enduring.

Zaviyar loved playing with his ball and balloons and laughing through games of hide and seek. Even during fevers and painful moments, he chose joy—smiling, playing, and soaking in love with his family.

He fought so bravely through every step of his journey. After surgery, his body could no longer keep up with his fight, and he gained his angel wings.

He leaves behind a loving mom, dad, and big brother who will carry his light forever.

Zaviyar’s story is one of courage, love, and a strength that will never be forgotten.

🕊️ Fly high, sweet boy. You are forever loved.

✨ Medical Mama, So the Drama Presents: WARRIOR SPOTLIGHT ✨

Today we are honored to introduce you to Kevin 💙

Kevin is 8 months old and was diagnosed in utero with HLHS (Mitral Atresia/Aortic Atresia). His story is one of strength, resilience, and miracles from the very beginning.

During pregnancy, his family was given only a 5% chance of survival due to concerns about possible lung complications seen on MRI. But Kevin defied the odds and was born on July 13th with perfectly healthy lungs — a true miracle.

Kevin has already undergone two major heart surgeries — his Norwood at just 9 days old and his hemi Fontan at 7 months old — both performed by Dr. Sood at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital.

Despite everything he’s faced, Kevin continues to be a happy, joyful baby who loves:
💙 Watching Ms. Rachel and Cocomelon
💙 Car rides and shopping trips with mom
💙 His pacifier
💙 Bath time

Kevin’s journey is a powerful reminder of just how strong our warriors are, even from the very start.

Please join us in sending Kevin and his family so much love and support 💙

💙 Medical Mama, So the Drama Presents: Warrior Spotlight 💙

Today we are honored to introduce you to Zayn, a 12-year-old heart warrior living with Transposition of the Great Arteries.

Zayn’s story began with an unexpected and terrifying turn. After a long labor, what should have been a joyful first moment quickly became a fight for survival when he began turning blue immediately after birth. He was rushed away before his mom could even hold him, and within hours, his condition became critical.

After a failed procedure due to his tiny size, Zayn was airlifted to Children’s Hospital in Birmingham, hours away from his family. His oxygen levels dropped dangerously low, and his parents were faced with unimaginable decisions while trying to reach him in time.

Zayn was born with his heart’s main arteries switched, and open-heart surgery was his only chance at life.

After two months in the hospital filled with fear, faith, and hope, Zayn finally came home.

Over the years, he continued to show strength and resilience, but his journey wasn’t over. Around age 10, his condition began to worsen, leading to dizziness and fainting spells. In 2023, Zayn underwent another open-heart surgery due to scar tissue and the strain on his heart.

Telling him was one of the hardest moments—but Zayn showed incredible courage and strength, facing it head-on like the true warrior he is.

Today, Zayn is thriving.

He loves reading (especially the Warriors series), excels in math, and enjoys gaming with his brother and dad. He’s a huge Atlanta Hawks fan and loves playing basketball—especially teaming up with his younger brother Zaid to take on their dad.

Zayn is described as kind, loving, and protective—the best big brother and a bright light to everyone around him.

His family—mom Zahra, dad Jabar, and brother Zaid—have built a beautiful life here in Georgia since 2020. As first-generation Iraqi Americans, their journey is one of strength, love, and perseverance. Their home is filled with laughter… and five beloved cats that make them proudly “the crazy cat family.”

Zayn’s journey has shaped their lives in profound ways, teaching them resilience, gratitude, and the true meaning of strength.

Even now, with ongoing cardiology visits, the worry never fully disappears—but neither does the gratitude.

Zayn is a fighter. A protector. A warrior in every sense of the word.

Please join us in celebrating Zayn and the incredible strength he shows every single day. 💙

✨ Medical Mama, So the Drama Presents: Warrior Spotlight ✨

Meet our incredible little fighter, Andres — affectionately known as Andresito 💙

At just almost 3 months old, Andresito has already shown a strength that most will never have to find. He was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS) with severe mitral stenosis/hypoplasia and aortic atresia, along with a severely hypoplastic ascending aorta — and from the very beginning, he has been fighting with everything he has.

This beautiful family of three from San Antonio, Texas — mom, dad, and baby Andres Jr. — has been walking this journey together with so much love and resilience. From balancing college classes during pregnancy to navigating life in the hospital, their story is one of strength, sacrifice, and unwavering hope.

Andresito’s journey began early. At just one week old, he underwent a hybrid Norwood procedure due to his low birth weight of 4 lbs 6 oz. He fought hard and grew stronger, and once he reached 7.5 lbs, he was ready for his full Norwood surgery. During surgery, he faced serious complications and was placed on ECMO — a moment no parent is ever prepared for. But Andresito had other plans… he fought his way through 💪🏽

Today, he is off ECMO, healing beautifully, and even celebrated a huge milestone — graduating to his “big boy bed.” 🥹

Beyond the machines and milestones, Andresito is full of personality. He loves when mommy and daddy read to him (especially his “Who Was?” books 📚), smiles big for his nurses when he wants cuddles, and has the funniest habit of rolling his eyes when he’s not impressed 😂. He finds peace in his mama’s arms and brings joy to everyone around him with his sweet spirit and strength.

This tiny warrior reminds us all what true courage looks like. 💙

Please join us in sending love, prayers, and encouragement to Andresito and his amazing family as they continue this journey.
