We prepare you for employment in settings such as rehabilitation clinics, public and private schools, correction agencies, colleges and universities and mental health facilities. A concerted effort is devoted to providing you with the knowledge and skills to work successfully in these particular environments. Small conference rooms, observation areas, playrooms, and special classrooms were specifically designed for graduate level education. One of the most active rooms in our department (located on the ninth floor of the College of Education building) is the CPS library, which houses an extensive collection of assessment materials and equipment. We prepare you for a career! You might find employment in settings such as rehabilitation clinics, public and private schools, correction agencies, colleges and universities, and mental health facilities. We also conduct information sessions each month where you can gain more information about our department and programs. 🌟 CSI Speaker Event Announcement 🌟

We’re thrilled to host Taming Shame with Tammy Kennedy on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 from 11:00-12:30 in Room 915!

Tammy’s interactive and powerful presentation will focus on trauma, recovery, and the transformative power of storytelling in overcoming shame. Topics will include childhood trauma, sexual abuse, dissociation, self-harm, su***de, boundaries in therapy, and transference.

About the speaker:
Tammy Kennedy, a CPS graduate, is passionate about helping others heal. Diagnosed with dissociative identity disorder at 17, Tammy’s journey to recovery was long, but she conquered her shame, earned a master’s in counseling, became a therapist, and founded King’s Treasure Box Ministries, a non-profit supporting survivors. 🌿

This event is a must-attend for anyone looking to deepen their understanding of trauma recovery! ✨
