The Atlanta–North Georgia Labor Council invites you to participate in Transit Equity Day 2026 on Wednesday, February 4, 2026: Transit Moves Democracy.
This national day of action and storytelling lifts up workers, riders, and communities fighting for just, accessible, and fully funded public transit.
This year’s theme, Transit Moves Democracy, highlights the essential role public transit plays in connecting people to work, civic participation, and opportunity.
The Atlanta Labor Council stands with ATU 732 and the Labor Network for Sustainability as we center worker and community voices in the fight for equitable transit—underscoring the shared interests of riders, communities, workers, and the planet in creating fully funded, robust, accessible, and electrified transit systems.
Participants will gather in the parking lot of the IBEW 613 building at 11am, and the Annual Rosa Parks Commemoration March will begin at 12:00 noon.
