We are a non-profit outpatient psychiatric medical and counseling practice serving the greater Metropolitan Atlanta area. We provide psychiatric treatment coupled with medication management, group and individual counseling. We also provide parenting coordinating services as well as couples and family counseling. As a non- profit organization, we offer three visits per year free of charge. The team at PBWC focuses on total wellness ensuring continuity of care. Taking a public health approach treating not limiting treatment to the diagnosis, but promoting whole health and wellness. The clinical team ensures that the client plays a vital role in his or her care in order to stabilize the clients concerns and maximize the benefits of therapy. Any concerns discussed with the team will remain with the team as we comply with the Health Insurance Portability Accountability and Act (HIPAA) and Confidentiality laws. Dr. Angela Shannon M.D., D.F.A.P.A, heads the team at PBWC. She brings over 20 years of experience as a child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist. The positive persons that she surrounds herself drive her passion and motivate everyone around her including patients, colleagues and friends. Dr. Shannon also collaborates with Georgia Regional Hospital as well as numerous non-profit organizations treating those in need. Dr. Shannon allows students in various mental health professions as volunteers, so that they can obtain clinical didactic hours. Currently, PBWC has two volunteer Counselors, Joiet Wesley, MA, MPH, graduate of Clark Atlanta University and Anthony Clinkscales, a Pastoral student counselor at Mercer University.
