We hope everyone in our community is safe, secure, and for as much as possible able to shelter in place. We all live with the stresses of uncertainty at this time. The information that we all receive is changing it seems almost by the hour. The Providers and Staff of West Georgia Family Medicine, P.C., are making every effort to provide the very best medical care for our community while at the same time protect as many as possible from being exposed to the Virus. In light of that, until further notice or special circumstance, our office will provide TeleHealth Visits only during this designated Federal State of Emergency. Our phones will be answered during typical daily business hours M-F, and answering service afterhours and weekends. You can call the office and schedule a TeleHealth visit just as you normally would an in office visit. President Trump and National and State Leaders have passed special waivers to allow this transition to occur immediately with the reassurance that these visits will be reimbursed by your insurance just as any other in office visit. We can still provide for the majority of your Primary Care needs including refills, chronic illness and disease, refer to specialists, limited wellness care, arrange diagnostic testing ect. We can use a variety of platforms from simple telephone call and or any common video chat system. If at all possible some form of video call is best. We will be using Healow. It is free, secure, compliant, and can be accessed by App or Net or Portal. The office staff can help be sure you are prepared for your visit when you call.To use the portal be sure you are activated by our staff and have your password and you sign into our virtual waiting room at your appointment time. Please try and be understanding and patient with us as we do our best to dramatically change access to health care while providing the safest highest quality care possible and together defeat and lead the way out of this pandemic.May God Bless Us All.
