I’m so excited to share my latest conversation with Whitney Coble and Tiffany Bishop, the brilliant women behind Raising Resilience.
What started in 2018 as a vision to create intentional, self-care–centered spaces for Black mothers in Charlotte has grown into a powerful movement rooted in connection, healing, and community. In this episode, Whitney and Tiffany share how Raising Resilience evolved from local gatherings into a trusted maternal mental health practice—especially as they adapted during the pandemic to meet the deep and growing need for support through virtual spaces.
Today, Raising Resilience provides virtual counseling and support to Black mothers across North Carolina and DC, offering affirming, culturally responsive care during every stage of motherhood. Their work has touched the lives of over 500 Black and Brown women, and their impact continues to ripple outward.
This conversation is rich, honest, and deeply affirming. If you care about Black maternal mental health, community care, and what it really looks like to build something by us and for us, this episode is for you.
