HEAL is group program designed to help you overcome self-limiting beliefs to restore your relationship with self. With weekly group calls and a course platform you'll have the support you need to begin to change the way you feel in your life. So many of us experience struggles and blocks that keep us from showing up the way we want, that keep us feeling stuck and often lead to self-doubt and self-judgment. Here you'll gain new self-understanding and you'll receive guidance and practices to identify and begin to overcome self-limiting beliefs. This program will run weekly for 6 weeks beginning December 21st. Join Ashley for LIVE calls which means live support and guidance to help you internalize and integrate this learning and to move you through the healing process. 

Our relationship with self is the MOST important relationship in our lives. How we feel about ourselves determines how we show up in the world; in our work, in our relationships, in all we do. It determines the state of our mind, how we feel, our energy. 

If you have ever doubted your ability to feel better in your life, this is for you. If you have ever struggled with feeling not enough or too much, this is for you. If you have ever struggled alone and in silence in the struggles you have with the way you feel about yourself, if you have masked and hidden your self-doubts and self-criticism, you don't have to anymore.

If you are someone who has experienced trauma or suffered from chronic anxiety or stress, your nervous system may be working on overdrive. ⁠

As a result, you might find yourself feeling more shut down, tired, and unable to get motivated to do the things you really want to do. ⁠

Our freeze response is an ancient, primal mechanism activated to protect us in the face of danger when our mind and body assess that it is not safe to fight or flee.⁠

When we walk through the world, hyper-alert and often simultaneously overstimulated, we might find ourselves in our stress response more often, which could impede our ability to live life as we would wish. ⁠

So, what can we do?⁠ 🤍

1. Remember that this is your body trying to protect you. Scan your environment and acknowledge if you are safe. ⁠

2. You can also acknowledge the stressors, understanding that it makes sense for your body to respond in this way, rather than beating yourself up and creating more stress.⁠

3. Try one of the bilateral tapping or breathing exercises in my feed, or head over to my website for a free coping skills mini-course!!⁠

In response to cues for danger, the dorsal vagus nerve moves us away from connection and into protection by immobilizing. ⁠

This occurs in order to reduce the risk of harm when fighting and fleeing don’t feel like viable options. ⁠

When this happens chronically, when a person is dorsal vagal dominant in response to stress, they are likely to experience depression. ⁠

Pulling out of the dorsal vagal state can take time, feel slow. You might find it difficult to speak or move when you want to. ⁠

When you recognize you are safe and want to get all systems back online, try this: Start by looking around and naming what you see to yourself. Observe color, textures, shape, temperature. Moving your gaze and filling your mind with these neutral details can do the trick!⁠

I’m so excited to be hosting this falls retreats in my home state of Vermont. I’m even more excited to be joined by for this one. Gretch and I ran our first retreat together in September 14 years ago and I am so excited to come together in Vermont. Gretchen is Natalie an amazing human being, one of the most fun people in the world to be around, but she has extensive knowledge of Yoga and Ayurveda , that she is ready to share with us!
These retreats are choose your own adventure. You can take part in whatever sounds just right for you. This is all about restoration, reconnection, and enjoying ourselves!
