Senior Care Options was founded by our CEO, Lisa Curtis, LCSW in 1996.
After several years of working for Adult Protective Services, Lisa recognized a strong need for assessment, education, support, and guidance for not only the geriatric population within our communities but for their loved ones as well. Over the years, Lisa has developed a strong team of Social Workers, Registered Nurses, and other professionals dedicated to improving the lives of the geriatric population.

Senior Care Options, Inc. has been serving Ocean, Monmouth, and Middlesex counties since 1996, providing a variety of services such as; professional geriatric care management, home care assessments, emotional & supportive counseling, Medicaid applications, placement information & coordination, household financial management, state-to-state move assistance, and ongoing support to family. Working together with you, we create a plan that best fits your loved one's needs. Our Services:
INITIAL CONSULTS: The aging process leads to a lot of changes and new experiences. Not sure how to handle these changes or even where to start? Let us help. Our Initial Consult is an in-depth assessment of your loved one's abilities, medical history, finances, and environment. With this information, we can provide you with insight, guidance, continued support and most importantly options. We will work with you to develop short-term and long-term goals to make sure all your loved one's needs are being met not only for today or tomorrow but for the years to come. During this session you will see what really sets our services apart from the rest of the industry; our attention to detail and our receptiveness to the unique needs of each of our clients.
CARE MANAGEMENT: If after the Initial Consult you feel you would like us to be a part of your loved one's continued care plan, we would then become your professional Care Manager. As your Care Manager, our goals are to provide you with answers in times of uncertainty by providing you with the proper guidance and support to alleviate the stress of decision making during difficult times. We will work with you one-on-one to improve the quality of life for you and your loved one. Whether it is getting them to or from important doctor's appointments, coordinating in-home care services, making a move into an Assisted Living Community, connecting you with other geriatric professionals such as attorneys or financial planners, or just friendly weekly check-ins for socialization and peace of mind - we are here every step of the way.
MEDICAID APPLICATIONS: Everyone has heard scary stories about the Medicaid application process and how to qualify. We are the first to admit that this can be a daunting and complicated process; there is a 5-year look back on all the finances and a lot of paperwork to go along with it. But our on staff Medicaid Specialist will guide you through every step of the process. Making this as easy and stress-free as possible for you and your loved one.
COUNSELING SERVICES: Not only does the aging process present us with a variety of physical and mental changes but it also causes many emotional changes too. These emotions can be overwhelming and difficult to manage on your own. Allow our licensed and professional therapists to help you through these difficult times. We can assist you with developing and practicing strategies to empower you to manage stress, overcome your anxiety and depression, grieve the loss of a loved one, and cope with whatever challenges you are currently facing.
Keep in mind - If you have traditional Medicare, these services could be covered, free of charge! Each day more insurance companies are recognizing the importance of mental health and are providing coverage for these services. Be sure to ask us if your insurance pays for counseling & emotional support!
STATE-TO-STATE MOVES: Do you or a loved one need to move to another state but don't feel you can manage it on your own? Give us a call and ask about our State-to-State Move services. Whether it is to be closer to family or to finally live-out those retirement plans of being somewhere warm and tropical; we plan the entire trip from door-to-door, no matter what your needs are.
