Ok it’s Friday let’s be a little less serious and have some fun.

If you could only eat ONE food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
(And be honest—don’t say “salad” because we both know that’s a lie 😂)

Mine? STEAK . No question. I could literally eat FILET MIGNON every day and be happy. Look at what Dylan said my favorite food is…. Smart girl!!

Comment below! I want to know what you’d choose and why.
Are you a carb person? Protein? Comfort food?
Let’s see what your food choice says about you!

Your Blood Pressure Isn’t Random

If you’re managing high blood pressure, your doctor probably told you to “reduce sodium” and gave you a prescription.
But here’s what I’ve learned: high blood pressure is almost always a mineral conversation.

When someone comes to me with elevated blood pressure, I’m looking at specific markers in their HTMA and bloodwork:

Potassium vs. Sodium balance – High blood pressure often shows up with low potassium and depleted magnesium. Your blood vessels stay tight. You’re stuck in stress mode.

Calcium-to-magnesium ratio – If your calcium is high and magnesium is low, your muscles stay contracted. Including your blood vessel muscles. They’re literally clenched.

Chronic stress depleting minerals – When you’re stressed, your body burns through magnesium and potassium just trying to manage the stress response. Low minerals + high stress = blood pressure climbs. This is why meditation alone doesn’t fix it—you need mineral restoration and stress support

Blood sugar dysregulation – Here’s what most people don’t realize: high blood sugar drives inflammation and stiffens blood vessel walls. Dysglycemia (blood sugar swings) keeps your body in a stressed state, which raises blood pressure. Fix the glucose, blood pressure often drops.

Copper and zinc balance – These regulate your nervous system and inflammation. When they’re imbalanced, inflammation creeps up and damages blood vessels.

Most of my clients don’t need another medication. They need their minerals restored—especially magnesium and potassium—and their blood sugar stabilized. Add the right foods (grass-fed proteins, mineral-rich vegetables, quality sea salt) and their blood pressure starts moving down without drugs.

That’s the functional approach: fix what’s actually broken, not just manage the symptom.

Is your blood pressure sitting on medication and you’re wondering if there’s something deeper? There usually is. I can help!

SUNSCREEN SEASON - THE REAL TALK

“What sunscreen do you use?”
I get this question constantly this time of year. So let’s talk about it.

Here’s the truth: Your body NEEDS sun exposure. But you also need to be smart about it.

Where I live, we don’t have the luxury of slowly building sun tolerance. It goes from freezing to hot in like 2 weeks. So you can’t waste early spring days building your solar callus.

First: You NEED sun exposure. Your body needs it!!

Sun on your eyes signals your pineal gland to produce melatonin (sleep). It tells your skin to produce vitamin D (immunity, hormones, minerals). It triggers melanin production (natural sun protection).

But here’s what happens: You slather on chemical sunscreen, put on sunglasses, and hide from the sun.

Your body gets NONE of those signals.
So you sleep worse. Your vitamin D crashes. Your skin can’t protect itself. Then you burn anyway because your body never got the memo to make melanin.

Here’s what actually works:
Get morning sun WITHOUT sunglasses (15-30 mins). Let it hit your eyes. This signals your body: “Hey, the sun is here. Make vitamin D. Make melanin. Prepare to handle this.”
Then throughout the day: Take breaks from sun exposure. Wear a hat if you’re going to be out long. Don’t chase a sunburn - that’s damage.
Build your solar callus gradually. Your skin adapts and protects itself when you give it consistent, moderate sun.

If you DO use sunscreen (and sometimes you should), use ONLY mineral sunscreen with zinc oxide. Skip the chemical sunscreens - they’re endocrine disruptors that absorb into your bloodstream.
The goal: Smart sun exposure + nutritional support + protective clothing = your body handles the sun the way it was designed to.
Not hiding. Not burning. Just balanced.
This is what I do for myself. This is what I recommend to clients.

How many times have you:

• Tried a new diet hoping it would fix things?
• Started a supplement your friend recommended?
• Cut out entire food groups because you ‘thought’ they were the problem?

I did this for YEARS. Guessing. Trying. Failing. Here’s what I know now: You can’t fix what you don’t understand.

I don’t guess with my clients. I test. I find the actual root cause. Then we build a protocol specifically for YOUR body - not what worked for someone else.

One clear answer instead of endless trial and error.

That’s the difference between hoping something works and KNOWING it will.

If you are not sleeping through the night, bloated, have digestive issues, painful periods, night sweats or whatever is keeping you from feeling well…..

Let’s chat and get you to feel like you again.

FINALLY. They Renamed It. No Longer PCOS

For years, you've been told you have "cysts on your ovaries." You were given birth control. You were told it was a fertility problem. You were told to lose weight.

But that's not what you've been experiencing, is it?
You've felt the fatigue that doesn't match your sleep. The carb cravings that come out of nowhere. The weight that stays stubbornly on your belly no matter what you do. The mood swings. The skin that won't clear. The irregular periods. The feeling that something deeper is OFF.

Well, medical consensus just caught up.
As of May 12, PCOS has been officially renamed PMOS — Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome. And that name change? It changes EVERYTHING about how this condition should be addressed.

The old name focused on your ovaries. The new name focuses on what's actually happening: your metabolism, your hormones, your endocrine system — all working against you.

85% of women with PMOS have insulin resistance. Most practitioners never checked for it. They handed out birth control instead of asking: Why is your blood sugar dysregulated? Why are your hormones in chaos? What's driving all of this?

If you've been struggling with what you were told was "just PCOS" — irregular periods, weight that won't budge, energy crashes, hormone chaos — the answer isn't ignoring the metabolic dysfunction. It's addressing it first. That's what I do!

I've always started with blood sugar regulation — because nothing else works until that foundation is solid. And I look at your body as a whole, not a collection of broken parts. I can't single out one thing. Your blood sugar, your cortisol, your androgens, your inflammation, your digestion — they're all talking to each other. I assess your insulin, your glucose patterns, your cortisol, your androgens — not as isolated numbers, but as an interconnected system. I build protocols that stabilize your blood sugar, restore your metabolic foundation, and let your body actually heal.
If you've been told "there's nothing wrong" or "just take this pill," or if you've been spinning your wheels without real answers — this is your sign.

Book a discovery call. Let's talk about what's really happening in your body.
