*Leash Law & Nuisance Animal Reminder*

This is a reminder to residents and visitors that Palm Beach County’s Leash Law and Nuisance Animal Ordinance are in effect and have been adopted by the City.

Dogs must be leashed or otherwise properly restrained whenever they are off their owner’s property. This includes dogs that may run from a front yard into the roadway. Off-leash dogs can startle pedestrians and create dangerous situations for both people and pets, including the risk of being struck by a vehicle or golf cart.

If you are enjoying time in your front yard, please remember that your dog must remain contained on your property at all times.

Leash Law:
It is unlawful for any dog to be off the owner’s property unless under the control of a person by means of a leash or other restraint.

Nuisance Animals:
Dogs or cats that habitually bark, run at large, chase people or vehicles, or otherwise disturb the peace may be in violation of the ordinance.

Nuisance animal complaints are investigated by Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control upon receipt of two sworn affidavits from unrelated residents living nearby.

Tomorrow is our final tree pick-up day. Place your real, undecorated Christmas tree by the curb and call City Hall or email the City Clerk with your address so we don't miss yours. You can also bring it to the Atlantis Country Club and add it to the piles. Thanks, and see you at the bonfire!
