Update on our mama cat and kittens 🐾

Mama cat has moved her kittens closer to the woods behind our facility. She is still coming back to our porch regularly to eat and drink, so we know she’s still caring for them.

We’re trying not to disturb her too much, but we also want to make sure the kittens are safe. Should we keep waiting for her to bring them closer, try to locate them, or something else? The mama cat will not let anyone get close to her.

Any helpful tips would be greatly appreciated ❤️

Ms. Van Pelt is the kind of person who makes everyone feel cared for 💕

Whether she’s checking on a neighbor, offering a helping hand, or simply making someone smile, she is always looking out for the people around her. Her kindness comes so naturally, and her generous heart shines through in everything she does. And somehow, Ms. Van Pelt also manages to know everybody’s business before the staff does 😂💕

Competition was in full swing during today’s therapy session! 🏓 These two residents brought their competitive spirit as they hit the ball back and forth, each determined to come out on top. 😄

The laughter, focus, and friendly rivalry made for an exciting session filled with movement, teamwork, and plenty of smiles. We love seeing our residents stay active while having so much fun together! 💙

It’s “Get You Right” Fitness Friday or like the residents love to say Fred Friday! 💪😄

Our residents always look forward to spending time with Fred and getting moving for a fun-filled workout session before bingo. His energy, encouragement, and positive attitude make fitness something everyone enjoys!

We are so grateful for the joy and motivation he brings each week. Thank you, Fred, for helping keep our residents active, smiling, and feeling their best — we love you! 💙👏

Our guy is on the move again! 🚶‍♂️☀️ This time, he’s out enjoying a beautiful day at the park with our amazing staff by his side. From fresh air to peaceful scenery, it’s moments like these that bring so much joy and freedom to our residents.

We love seeing our residents getting out, staying active, and making memories wherever the day takes them! 🌳😊

There’s something truly special about catching those sweet family moments as our residents come and go throughout the day. ❤️ From warm hugs at the door to smiles shared in passing, these little snapshots remind us how important family connections are.

It’s wonderful to see our residents still enjoying visits, outings, and time with the people they love most. Those moments of independence, togetherness, and joy mean everything — and we love getting to witness them every day. 📸✨

🐾 Resident Cat & Kitten Update 🐾

Our newest little residents are settling in nicely! Thanks to the kindness and support of everyone involved, we now have food, cozy beds, and plenty of love for our furry friends. 🧡

The biggest update? We currently have THREE adorable kittens! 😻

Next on the agenda: a Resident Council meeting to decide on names for all of them! We can’t wait to see what creative and fun names everyone comes up with.

One of our lovely residents got to spend the day with special visitors, enjoy a lunch outing, and soak up time with the cutest little baby snuggles. There’s just something magical about seeing generations together — smiles get bigger, laughter gets louder, and hearts get fuller. 🥹👶

Days like today remind us that the best medicine is family, good food, and baby cuddles. 💗

Breaking news from The Summit Assisted Living: a cat had kittens here… and now the entire building has turned into a senior citizen crime syndicate 🐱😂

The residents are working harder to hide these kittens from the boss than anything else.

Meanwhile:

* The kittens have been fed approximately 47 times today
* Every resident suddenly has “leftover chicken”
* Nobody has attended activities because kitten surveillance is now a full-time job

At this point the kittens aren’t strays anymore — they’re emotional support supervisors with 24-hour protection from 24 grandmas.

Update 5/19: We are currently holding a resident council meeting to name our new friends. Be looking out for more post.

We had the BEST time today with Jason from Southern Care making some coke floats! 🥤✨

So much fun, lots of laughs, and even better company. Days like this are what it’s all about! 💙
