As we celebrate Black History Month, our focus turns to highlighting renowned African American role models and their paths to achievement. We began with Bessie Coleman, a trailblazer who became the first African American and Native American woman to obtain a pilot's license and the first African American to secure an international pilot's license. Known affectionately as 'Queen Bess' and 'Brave Bessie,' we pay tribute to her courageous spirit.🤎✈️

Pre-K REGISTRATION OPEN TODAY!!!

Pre-K Registration opens January 15th. Visit https://prek.alaceed.alabama.gov/ for more information and to pre-register your student for the random selection process for the upcoming school year.

Eligibility: Child must be an Alabama resident and be 4 years old on September 1. Children who are eligible for kindergarten are not eligible for pre-k.

Documents: Upon enrollment, enrollees must provide a copy of the child's birth certificate, proof of residence, and immunization record.

Schools with pre-k units: AC Moore Primary School, W.S. Neal Elementary, Flomaton Elementary, & Pollard McCall Junior High School.

Transportation is not provided by the district for pre-k students and must be provided by parent/guardian.
