Sturdy Health is proud to support our local community in so many ways. Recently, we joined together to help stock the shelves of the Hebron Food Pantry through a community food drive.

Thanks to the generosity of team members across Sturdy Health, we collected canned and non-perishable foods, personal care essentials, and a wide range of snacks and condiments at Sturdy Memorial Hospital and our primary and specialty care locations in Attleboro and Plainville.

Pictured here are (left to right) Heather Porreca, Board President, Hebron Food Pantry; Carissa Phillips, Executive Director, Hebron Food Pantry; and Coleen Resnick, Vice President and Chief Advancement Officer, Sturdy Health.

Every contribution makes a meaningful difference for local families. Thank you to everyone who donated and helped lift up our community.

November is Diabetes Awareness Month, and Sturdy Health is expanding access to essential preventive care with new AI-based eye screening technology in our Plainville and Norton primary care locations.

This quick, in-office test captures detailed images of the eye and analyzes them for early signs of diabetic retinopathy—the leading cause of preventable blindness in working-age adults. By bringing this screening directly into the routine care for patients with diabetes, we’re making it easier for patients to protect their vision and overall health.

November is Bladder Health Month. Each year, millions of Americans battle bladder problems, including overactive bladder, infections, and incontinence.

Barbara Stricker, MD, an obstetrician/gynecologist at the Sturdy Health Center for Bladder and Pelvic Health, who specializes in both surgical and non-surgical management of urinary issues, explains: "Incontinence or bladder issues are more common than you think, yet many people are embarrassed to talk about it, even with their doctor."

But it doesn't have to be that way. Meeting one-on-one with your doctor is key as there are many treatments that can help. Sturdy Health experts work with you to identify the cause of your condition and come up with a treatment plan to meet your needs.
