October is Physical Therapy Month and we’re closing out our spotlight series by celebrating Dr. Diana Nunez, PT, DPT, from our Seekonk clinic. 💪

A proud graduate of the University of Michigan and University of Connecticut, Diana joined Highbar as a new grad ready to learn, grow, and make an impact and she’s done just that.

“The professional development opportunities here have been amazing. As a new grad, I had a lot to learn but this has been the perfect place to grow as a clinician. My favorite part of working at Seekonk is the people. Everyone is so welcoming and willing to teach.”

Diana’s passion for learning and her gratitude for the profession remind us what PT Month is all about: helping people move, live fully, and feel appreciated for the impact we make every day.

This year’s APTA Connecticut Conference reminded us why we’re so passionate about this profession.

Hearing students share what it means to PATTOTL, in their own words, was a true reminder of why we love what we do. Their passion and authenticity are shaping the future of physical therapy, and we’re proud to be part of that movement.

We’re proud to be part of a community that invests in the next generation of PATTOTLers and keeps raising the bar for patient care.

October is Physical Therapy Month and we’re celebrating the PTs who move our profession forward.

Meet Dr. Tod Wright, PT, DPT, CSCS, a Highbar physical therapist who believes movement is personal.

“The thing I love most about being a PT is connecting with patients and helping them get back to doing what means the most to them, whether it’s getting a high school athlete back on the field or a grandparent climbing the bleachers at their grandkids’ soccer game.”

Tod is passionate about helping his patients achieve their personal best. A Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist with certifications in Functional Dry Needling and Blood Flow Restriction Therapy, he brings his love for exercise and performance into every session.

Outside the clinic, you’ll find him lifting weights, coaching soccer at Narragansett High School, and perfecting his backyard oasis.

💪 Passion. Purpose. Progress.

October is Physical Therapy Month, and we’re inviting you to join the movement, to celebrate, advocate, and elevate what it means to practice at the top of our license.

Dr. Dave Pavao, PT, DPT, OCS, Clinical Officer at Highbar Physical Therapy and APTA Media Corps member, is sharing the five PATTOTL principles that guide how we lead the way in physical therapy:
1️⃣ Triage, diagnose, and refer when appropriate
2️⃣ Encourage direct access
3️⃣ Be the best first choice for musculoskeletal care
4️⃣ Educate patients — We treat that!
5️⃣ Remember — Not all PT is the same

Watch Dave’s message and tell us, what would you add to the list? Let’s raise the bar together and join the movement this PT Month.

October is Physical Therapy Month — a time to celebrate the people who help others feel better, move freely, and live fully. 💪

We’re kicking things off by highlighting Dr. Aiden Barrett, PT, DPT, a proud member of our Seekonk team!

Aiden’s journey started in athletic training, but his desire to help people return to the activities they love led him to physical therapy — and eventually to Highbar.

“As PTs, we get to see our patients more than any other providers — we really get to know them personally. Seeing that day-to-day progress, from where they started to where they want to be, is what keeps me inspired.”

A graduate of Franklin Pierce University and participant in Highbar’s Orthopedic Residency Program, Aiden says the experience transformed his confidence and precision as a clinician.

“It’s been the most incredible educational experience of my career — it’s made me so much more confident that I’m providing the best, evidence-based care for every patient.”

Aiden’s commitment to growth doesn’t stop with his own education — he’s passionate about mentoring the next generation of PTs. Working alongside his student, he brings learning to life through collaboration, hands-on guidance, and shared curiosity.

From helping young athletes overcome injury to empowering everyday patients to move freely again, Aiden embodies what PT Month is all about: compassionate care, lifelong learning, and a genuine passion for helping people reach their goals.

“It’s about getting to know what’s important to each person — and helping them achieve those goals.”
