While 6,000 educators are on the pavement fighting for the right to live in the city where they work, the district is hiding behind a $100 million deficit.

This is not just a budget crisis. It is a values crisis.

MUHSD School District just hosted its first ever Career Technical Education (CTE) competition at the Atwater Community Center where over 100 students pitched real world solutions to industry experts.

It is a move toward the "practical sovereignty" you often advocate for.

On the competitive side, Merced High just secured its 21st victory in the Merced County Academic Decathlon.

Meanwhile, on the court, Atwater High pulled off a major upset against Merced to create a tie at the top of the CCC standings.

The more I dig, the darker it gets.

A NEW PATTERN I’M SEEING a pattern where our local districts may be using "Dual-Classification" to cheat long-term employees out of their earned benefits.

They treat you like family in the fall and like a temp in the summer.

While staff are struggling to pay rent, the "Elite Network" is busy annexing 650 acres of land and collecting "Trust Advisor" fees.

The mask is slipping.

They thought I’d go away in 2023.

When I stood up for pay equity back then, the system reacted by pushing me out. But I came back as a counselor intern to keep building for our students.

Now, after a 30-second phone call in September 2025, they’re trying to say my second firing was "just business".

It wasn't business. It was a two-year grudge. I’ve just demanded the internal logs from Sept 1–19, 2025.

I want to see the exact moment the "elite network" decided my voice was worth more than my contract.

MUHSD just responded to my records request with a production date of March 27th. They’re claiming they need nearly two months to review 4,100 emails.

But here’s the glitch: They already identified records regarding Robert Nunes and Julio Valadez that aren't voluminous, yet they’re holding those hostage too.

I just sent the rebuttal. I’m not asking for a favor; I’m demanding the law be followed. Rolling production starts now, or we see a judge on Friday.

Lopez, (running for MCOE Superintendent) refused to answer my questions in writing. Instead, he tried to lure me into a "coffee chat."

I set a boundary: "I'm fine hearing from you in writing." Result: He ghosted.

This is the Old Guard playbook 101. Avoid the paper trail. Rely on the "good ol' boy" network. Pretend to be accessible while hiding your real views.

We see you, Richard. We see the ego. We see the entitlement. And we aren't buying it.
