Here’s 3rd excellent review recently:

Both my wife and I have benefited greatly from our treatments by Rebekah. My wife's lower back pain is now very minimal instead of often being crippling for days in the past. She now is not at all afraid of that pain and problem, as her improvement is that dramatic, and she knows that the correct treatment is available if the problem returns some time in the future.
My right leg muscle pain and tightness kept me from running and even from most walking...even walking the dogs was excruciating. After 4-5 sessions it was totally gone, I started being able to run, and the pain/restriction hasn't come back. My other big problem being corrected is: my extreme muscle/bone misalignments/imbalances. They started improving immediately, and I will continue to go to Rebekah for more of those treatments...(my orthopedic condition is quite severe and long-standing, so it will take a while to permanently correct it).

Our intent is to help people get out of pain. Or at the very least, giving people a tool to manage their pain. Nothing makes us happier than knowing we are accomplishing our mission. We’ve had a few 5 star reviews lately. Here’s the first one:

Leah is absolutely amazing and caring. This is not the place to go get a feel-good massage when you don't have anything wrong with you. But if you're having pain and need different types of massage therapy, they are definitely the people to go to! I highly recommend them!

We are so proud of Ida for training in the Vodder technique of manual lymphatic drainage. The Vodder technique is the pinnacle of MLD training and requires an in-person class to really get a feel for the technique.

Ida has returned from her hands on class and is ready to help with:

headaches
Bell’s palsy
Ramsay Hunt Syndrome
pre-op orthopedic or cosmetic surgery
contusions/hematomas
scleroderma
diabetic leg (with normal kidney function)
muscle sprains
rib fractures
arthritis
and varicose veins

We rescued this handsome guy from a bad situation and took him to CARE Humane Society. Please consider adopting or fostering him. You know we don’t normally share posts that are unrelated to business but I feel protective over “Samsonite” and want to do what I can to find him a home. If you can’t help, consider sharing on your own page and help spread the word. - Rebekah

Samsonite needs a foster! This sweet boy had a complication from his neuter, and he needs a quiet place to decompress with no other animals. Please email foster@carehumane.org for more info!

“Sitting is the new smoking.” An excerpt from the linked article:
Try Deep-Tissue Bodywork, Thai Massage, and Yoga

Sitting for too long can encourage our back, neck, and limbs to settle into unnatural postures. This can have a negative “domino effect” that impacts the alignment and comfort of other body parts. Deep-tissue body work such as Rolfing Structural Integration or traditional Thai massage can help a stiff body regain its natural range of motion.

Adults are now sitting around more than at any other time in history. And there can be rather serious consequences. Some authors have gone so far as to describe chronic, prolonged sitting as “the new smoking,” a deadly habit.

Massage therapy isn't just for relaxation; it can offer significant health benefits for older adults. From reducing muscle stiffness to improving emotional well-being, massage can be a valuable part of a senior's healthcare routine.

Key benefits include:

Pain relief: Massage can help alleviate aches and pains associated with aging.

Improved mobility: Regular massage can help maintain flexibility and range of motion.

Reduced anxiety: Massage can promote relaxation and reduce stress levels.

Enhanced sleep: Massage can improve sleep quality, leading to better overall health.

Improved mental clarity: Massage can help boost cognitive function and memory.

Massage therapists must adjust for a client’s age-related changes, but the human connection makes any accommodations well worth the experience.

Saturday and evening appointments now available with our most recent addition!

Alanna Word
License #5885

Alanna completed the massage therapy program at SUSCC in Opelika and has been a licensed massage therapist since 2022, practicing both therapeutic techniques and relaxation in conjunction. She regularly builds a treatment plan by asking about daily activities and hobbies, believing that the repetitive movements one makes in their daily lives lead to dysfunction over time. Using posture analysis and a corrective approach, she seeks to impact the lives of her clients in their daily movements. She typically talks clients through the “why” of what she does during treatment to offer clients the opportunity to learn more about themselves and their bodies. Alanna lives in the Seale area with her husband and toddler.

Did you know?

Our best source of advertising is word of mouth.
By far most of our new clients come by referrals from Doctors, Physical Therapists and Personal Trainers. We also get quite a few that are referred by family or friends. If you have worked with us and benefited from what we do, PLEASE PLEASE spread the word.

Leaving a review on Facebook, Google or Yelp is also invaluable. (If you want to give a review anonymously, please PM us or email and make sure to let us know you want it anonymous. We know not everybody wants the public to know their business.)

Take a look at this spectacular review one of our therapists got a year or so ago. No doubt this review has helped her business flourish!

“I have only been working with Leah for a short period of time but I have been very pleased with the results. She is like a cross between a sports trainer and a massage therapist and her attention to detail has been amazing. Based upon my experience I would highly recommend Leah and for those of you trying to move past nagging sports injuries I am confident she can help.”
