I’ve been making this nonstop. like almost everyday for the past couple of weeks. it’s got tons of protein & fiber that work together to keep you happy & satisfied. it’s delicious, nutrient dense, & actually keeps me full until lunch.

all of these things ebb & flow & it’s no doubt that postpartum hormones contribute to so many of these feelings. I never ever want to come off as ungrateful but I do want to make any other postpartum moms that may be struggling with any of this feel less alone.

It’s a wild thing to have such deep, emotionally draining feelings while also experiencing the sweetest season of your life. these two things can absolutely coexist & from what I’ve heard, so much of this gets better over time!

until then, I’m clinging to my support system that I’m so thankful for & just taking each moment as it comes. I’m afraid people are right when they say that this time flies🥺🤎

I got diagnosed with ADHD at 27 & it was the clarity I had been seeking & praying for after years of debilitating anxiety & confusion.

I always felt behind, less than, like I wasn’t living or performing up to my potential… the list goes on.

Turns out I wasn’t broken, I just wasn’t utilizing the unique ways my brain is supposed to work & thrive🤎

I’ve prioritized protein in my diet for a long time now but it’s become even more important in my life as a new, breastfeeding mom.

my body is working overtime to provide nutrients for my babygirl & I can feeeel it. eating often & enough of the right things has been so important to the production of my breastmilk.

when I’m lacking protein, not only do I feel hungrier sooner (which makes “momming” even harder), but my milk supply also suffers.

everyday is different of course and I still stick to my intuitive eating core principles of asking myself what I want AND what I need.

tuning into my body during this crazy time of postpartum has been interesting, frustrating, confusing, and beautiful at the same time🤎
