Most patients I see with low back pain have either been dealing with it for months and are fed up, or or it just happened and they need help now.
Regardless , they are seeking professional help and guidance on how to return back to their normal everyday activities with little to no pain.
They want potential answers and potential solutions to their problem.
If I told the patient they had non specific low back pain, they would look back at me and say "I know, thats why I'm here, I don't know whats causing it".
Studies have shown that 85% of low back pain is classified as non specific low back pain.
Pain is a very complex subject that involves a number of biological, psychological, psychological, sociological, and and mechanical processes.
While it's not practical to dive into each one of these individually to arrive at a complete diagnosis, we can start attack some of the most prominent history findings such as aggravators, drivers, contributors, and predisposers to address the percieved threat to the body causing pain.
