It’s been a while since I’ve done a formal introduction, so HI, I’m Dr. Lindsey- the voice behind Audiology Always, and the owner of the place.

I was born and raised in Garrett, IN and now I reside in Garrett with my family- right across the road from my parents, my childhood home, and family farm (being this close is actually awesome, shhh don’t tell my parents).

As a kid- I grew up playing lots of sports and participating in 4-H showing pigs and cows for 10 years. When it came time to decide on college I always knew I wanted to go to Purdue (mostly to be close to my brother) and pursue the medical field, but I wasn’t sure where I’d land.

My freshman year of college I had an unfortunate jaw surgery that led to an accidental punctured eardrum. This hearing loss led me to discover audiology. My eardrum healed, and the rest is history.

I switched my major at Purdue to speech and hearing sciences and then went on to get my Doctor of Audiology Degree from the University of Illinois in Champaign.

I knew very early on that someday I would open my own practice. I just wasn’t sure when. I started my career with ENT Associates here in Fort Wayne and then went on to work for Signia Hearing, a global hearing aid manufacturer. In October of 2022, I walked in the door one day after being on the road and in hotels for the prior 3 days and told my husband that I was ready to open my own practice.

He said, “What do we do first?”

Winter of 2022-April of 2023 my family and friends WORKED to get Audiology Always off the ground, from a blank piece of concrete (when I say we worked- we designed the space, we hung trim, we painted the walls, we hung doors, we installed insulation, we assembled the furniture- all the things)!

When people ask “Why choose Audiology Always”, one of my best answers is “longevity”. Let me tell you a secret, I’m 34. When I say longevity, what I mean is that when you choose Audiology Always I am committed to taking care of you as my patient for the duration of my career. How many of us have had the same family doctor for 20 years, or the same dentist since we were a kid. The partnership and trust that is built in hearing care is no different.

Longevity + Independent (no manufacturer financial ties, no corporate agenda & no paid commission to my staff for your healthcare).

I’m here for the long haul to give you my best, and I’m fortunate to have the most brilliant staff and supportive family along for the ride!

We’ve all had the experience of calling XYZ Healthcare and being told how important our call is from a recording or a robot, and then it goes on to tell you you’re caller #27 in line or due to high call volumes please leave a message and we may, or may not, return your call.

I recognize how valuable it is to have a human answer the phone the FIRST time you call! Somedays, the phone rings A LOT (and sometimes we do miss it)- but no one is better than Abby and Amanda at ensuring we are the best support for you!

2025: A year of educating ourselves, serving our patients, and working together as a team to be the BEST Audiology practice that we can! It was a year of welcoming Abby to the team and a year of celebrating the joy of Dr. Jessica adding to her family. 2025 was joyous for Audiology Always!

Work is lighthearted and fun when you show up everyday with this crew! We take your ears very seriously, with a bit of joy on the side! 💛 đŸ‘‚đŸ»
