🧠 Feeling stressed, overwhelmed, or anxious? Try this simple reset… It’s called Box Breathing — and it takes less than 2 minutes.
Used by athletes, healthcare workers, and even high-performance professionals,
this technique helps calm your nervous system instantly.
🟩 How to do Box Breathing (4x4 method):
1️⃣ Inhale through your nose for 4 seconds
2️⃣ Hold your breath for 4 seconds
3️⃣ Exhale slowly for 4 seconds
4️⃣ Hold again for 4 seconds
🔁 Repeat for 4–6 cycles
💚 What it does for your body:
✔️ Lowers stress & anxiety
✔️ Slows your heart rate
✔️ Improves focus
✔️ Helps you feel in control again
📚 Backed by research:
Slow, controlled breathing has been shown to reduce stress, improve heart rate variability, and regulate the nervous system (Zaccaro et al., 2017; Harvard Health Publishing).
You don’t need more time…
You just need a moment.
At Stridely, we believe wellness isn’t about doing everything perfectly—it’s about small habits that support you daily.
💬 Comment “CALM” if you’re trying this today.

04/14/2026

The “mommy pouch,” often linked to visceral fat, is a layer of fat stored deep around your organs—not just under the skin—which is why it’s more stubborn and harder to lose right away. After pregnancy or periods of stress, hormonal changes (like higher cortisol), weakened core muscles, and slowed metabolism all contribute to fat being stored in this area. Unlike regular fat, visceral fat is more metabolically active, meaning it responds slower to quick fixes and requires consistent lifestyle changes rather than rapid dieting. The key is patience and strategy: focus on daily movement (like walking to improve circulation and fat burning), strength training to rebuild core and increase muscle, and balanced nutrition (high protein, fiber, and whole foods) to regulate hormones and insulin. Managing stress and getting enough sleep are just as important, because high stress can keep your body holding onto belly fat. Instead of trying to “spot reduce,” think of it as retraining your body over time—small, consistent habits will gradually reduce visceral fat and strengthen your core from the inside out.
