PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) is a natural response to experiences that overwhelm a person’s sense of safety—like abuse, violence, accidents, or loss. It affects people of all ages and backgrounds, often showing up in relationships, the nervous system, and how safe someone feels in the world and with others.
At ATA, all of our therapists have extensive clinical training and experience treating trauma and PTSD. As trauma-informed therapists, we recognize that PTSD isn’t about what’s “wrong” with someone, but what’s happened to them. Through compassionate, evidence-based care, we help clients rebuild safety, process pain, and reclaim their lives. We work to create safety, honor resilience, and gently help people reconnect with themselves and their loved ones.
