Worth the read!

I encourage your to read this article and listen to the podcast if you answer "yes" to the following questions:
•Are you the person people come to when they are in a jam or need advice? Would you consider yourself a “fixer”?
•Are you highly capable? Like sometimes it feels like you’re the only one in your life who knows how to actually get stuff done?
•Are you doing more than your share in your relationships and (if you’re honest) maybe feeling a tad exhausted and/or resentful?

Relapse rates often spike during the holiday season not only due to stress but also because celebrations frequently involve substance use—especially alcohol.

From a champagne toast to a holiday punch or a ceremonial drink with old friends, alcohol is deeply woven into festive traditions. The desire to join in and be part of these moments can make it easy to slip back into old patterns.

For those in recovery, the association between substance use and joyful occasions poses a significant risk. Believing they can have just one celebratory drink without jeopardizing their progress can quickly lead to relapse.
