I’m here for you
It was May 2007, and I was in a basement in White Center. A baby had just been born right before my eyes, and as I caught my breath, I felt one of those rare shifts in the universe where I knew everything was now different. I sat there next to the mother, my dearest friend, and wondered, how did I get here! And even better - how can I get back!
Since then I have supported over 700 families through the births of their babies, the growth of their family. It never gets routine, it never gets less amazing to see a person come earthside. The humble honor of being chosen to serve these families often renders me gobsmacked. I remember when I was a child thinking, “I have so much love in me, what do I do with all this love!” Now I know.
Pregnancy Place is working with Rainier Valley Community Clinic (RVCC) in Seattle, and is opening to new clients as of February 1st. Pregnancy Place will be seeking privileges to help you have your baby at Puget Sound Birth Center in Renton, as well as other area birth centers and of course - home! I will provide clinic based care in our beautiful facility in Seattle, as well as home-based prenatal care for those who need it. I want you to know - I will see you, I will hear you, and I will work very hard for you.
What I offer: in addition to knowledge, skills and talent, I bring to you the most important thing pregnant people need - my time and attention. Your care will be continuity based care - meaning you will spend the time with the same midwife who will be there when you birth your baby. You will know who will be there. You will share time getting to know me, and I will share time getting to know you family, for an exquisitely personal experience. This kind of one-on-one care builds the trust and comfort needed for your birthing.
