Auburn Community Hospital

Auburn Community Hospital is a not-for-profit, 99-bed acute care facility located in Auburn, NY.

Founded in 1878 by a group of community-minded individuals who recognized the growing health care needs of Auburn and Cayuga County, the original 13-bed hospital was called Auburn City Hospital, located at the current site on Lansing Street. ACH is the sole provider of acute and general hospital services in Cayuga County and the surrounding areas, located in the Finger Lakes region of Central New York. Our mission is to provide compassionate quality care to our community. Over 95% of the physicians on staff are board certified in at least one specialty.

Until now, many patients in Cayuga County who required advanced EEG diagnostics for seizures or other neurological emergencies needed to be transferred to larger hospitals. That delay can be critical when the brain is at risk.

With the addition of the Zeto ONE EEG system, we can now perform full EEG testing right at the bedside within minutes. This technology allows physicians to identify and treat urgent neurological conditions faster than ever before, helping patients stay close to home while receiving the same level of advanced care.

“Zeto’s highly portable, quick-to-set-up EEG platform gives us immediate access to diagnostics that were once limited to larger centers, allowing our teams to evaluate patients right here, without delay or transfer,” said Dr. Jamie Syrett, Chief Medical Officer and Director of the Concussion Clinic.

With the addition of our new PET/CT scanner, patients now have access to advanced 3D diagnostic imaging right here at Auburn Community Hospital. Patients can often be seen within the same week, and in some urgent cases, the next business day.

This powerful technology combines nuclear imaging to provide highly detailed, three-dimensional views of organ function, helping care teams make more accurate and timely diagnoses. By offering this level of care locally, we’re reducing travel and improving access for patients across Cayuga County.
