A cavity, or dental caries, is a small hole that forms in your tooth. This happens when bacteria in your mouth produce acids that eat away at the enamel, which is the hard outer protective layer of your teeth. Unfortunately, once the enamel is gone, it can't grow back, meaning cavities cause lasting damage to your teeth. If you think you might have cavities or want to check your dental health, please make an appointment by calling (508) 721-7720.

Some people believe in putting toothpaste on cold sores. While it may dry out the area, toothpaste can irritate the skin and potentially make the cold sore worse! Instead, opt for antiviral creams or ointments designed to target the virus, keep the area clean, and wash your hands after treating it. Otherwise, avoid touching the sore to prevent spreading. Don’t hesitate to reach out to us for personalized cold sore care. Call us at (508) 721-7720
