Reiki is a Japanese word for Universal Life Energy and is a form of energy healing. A Reiki session is a treat of relaxation. During a Reiki session, the client remains fully clothed and the practitioner places her hands on or near the client’s body moving from chakra to chakra. The practitioner works from head to toe and the client experiences peace and relaxation.

Before a practitioner sends Reiki energy, she moves into her heart space and connects with the universal source of energy. Reiki is intended to heal; however, the energy is self-intelligent and moves through the body as needed. A practitioner can send energy to a certain area or concern, but the energy will decide where it is needed most.
