Our residents recently embarked on an exciting trip to the Maidu Museum, where Tom, Judy, Nancy, Vic, Pat and Maureen explored the rich history of the Nisenan Maidu people. They discovered how this Indigenous community lived for thousands of years in what is now the Roseville area. The group was especially captivated by the exhibits showcasing the remarkable innovations and cultural practices developed by California Native Americans.

Soon after Golee moved into Brookdale Browns Creek, she looked across the dining table and saw a familiar face. Peggy had worked with her at a local school for more than 20 years, and they were reunited once again! Life had brought them full circle, and we can't wait to see them take on this new chapter together. 💙

It took some time and great teamwork to create our little "subirdia." Maureen, Carolee, Tom, Judy, and Donna painted and assembled four birdhouses, which now hang proudly on a wall in our back garden. It’ll be an added bonus if any feathered friends decide to move in!

Judy, Rosie, Linda, and Maureen decided to test out the desktop punching bag. Though a little unsure at first, they quickly got the hang of it and started having a blast. Rosie, true to form, went with slaps instead of punches. One thing’s clear: these ladies are not to be messed with!

Kelly, Lisa, and several residents took a short break from the Placer County heat with a trip to Tahoe. After the two-hour drive, they enjoyed a well-deserved lunch at Jason's Beachside Grille. Before heading home, they stopped by the beach, which remained busy despite the cool temperatures. Even our driver, Eric, couldn’t resist a quick dip in the lake.
