The Auburn Chamber is coordinating with Nemaha County Emergency Management as recovery efforts continue following last night’s storm.
At this time, no donations or food are being requested or needed. However, if individuals or businesses have items, equipment, supplies, or resources they may be willing to donate if a need arises, please message the Chamber or contact Leslie at 402-414-7850.
Below is the latest official update from the City of Auburn Storm Response Information
The City of Auburn has declared a disaster following the storms on May 18th, 2026. The City is coordinating a response with resources from Nemaha County Emergency Management and other sources.
Trees, limbs and branches should be placed in the city right away for eventual removal. City crews and volunteers will be working to clear debris. We have activated the 211 response system. Residents who need to request help with debris removal are able to report their needs through this system by dialing 211 from your phone.
Volunteers should report to the Auburn City Rec Complex parking lot located at 419 Q Street. Nemaha County Emergency Management and other agencies will be staging there to direct volunteer resources.
The primary area to place debris will initially be the parking lot at the Nemaha County Ag Society Rodeo Arena, located at 701 J St. Additional locations will be identified as needed.
